Muscat Hamburg
Black Muscat (or Muscat Hamburg) is a red ''Vitis vinifera'' grape variety derived from the crossing of the Schiava Grossa and Muscat of Alexandria by Seward Snow, Head Gardener to Earl de Grey at Wrest Park, Bedfordshire UK in 1850, according to the Vitis International Variety Catalogue. It is known under a variety of local names such as '' Golden Hamburg, and Black Hamburg'' in the US; ''Muscat de Hambourg (or Hamburgh)'' in France; ''Moscato di Amburgo'' in Italy; and ''Muscat Gamburgskiy'' in Russia and former Soviet Union countries. Confusingly, Black Hamburg is also used as a synonym for its maternal parent. It is commonly produced as table wine but in California's Central Valley (California), Central Valley it has been used in the production of dessert wine. Muscat du Ventoux () is a French black table grape, protected by an AOC, produced from the grape variety Muscat Hamburg on the slopes of Mont Ventoux, in the department of Vaucluse. History The grape has been grown in this region since ancient times. The table grapes have been produced in the foothills of Mont Ventoux since the nineteenth century . Manzoni Moscato
Incrocio Manzoni or Manzoni grapes is a family of grape varieties named after Professor Luigi Manzoni (1888-1968) of Italy's oldest school of oenology located in Conegliano, in the Veneto region. Raboso (grape)
Raboso is a red wine grape grown primarily in the eastern part of Veneto. It is also called Raboso Piave, from the name of a river near where it is grown. It produces deep-colored wine, with notably high levels of grape tannins, tannin and medium alcohol content and high acid. The name ''raboxo'' in the native Venetian language means "angry", because angry is the sensation in the mouth when this wine is drunk young. Raboso was in the past the most cultivated grape variety of eastern Veneto; Venetian navigators called it ''vin de viajo'', "wine of travel", because it was the most resistant to aging and transport.
