Murugeshpalya is a neighbourhood in Bengaluru, India. Location It lies south of Old Airport Road, bounded by Vimanapura (including the Old Airport - Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Airport) - on the east and the Old Airport's runway on the south. National Aeronautics Laboratory Road or NAL Road is also called Wind Tunnel Road and cuts through Murugeshpalya on the western side. Extending west nearly 600 mts from the "mouth" of NAL road is the large "Murugeshpalya Domestic Camp". Further down the road, just before it reaches the runway of the HAL Airport, is one of Bangalore's oldest IT Parks: the "Golf View Campus". Towards the Old HAL Airport lies the Kemp Fort Mall, and further down is the Visvesvaraya First Grade college. The key landmark in this area is the Shiva temple, within the Kemp Fort Mall complex. Wind Tunnel Road
NAL Wind Tunnel Road, expanded as National Aerospace Laboratories Wind Tunnel Road, is a road in the Murugeshpalya locality of Bangalore. It was called Challaghatta Road, a name that still persists in local use, before it was renamed. It links HAL Airport Road with Bellandur. HAL Airport Road branches into Wind Tunnel Road at a traffic light junction. Road condition The condition of this road has been a subject of constant criticism. Some of the common complaints are: poor condition of the road, occupied footpaths, irregular clearing of garbage etc. Between 2012 and 2014, 366 complaints were lodged about the HAL-Marathahalli stretch, including Wind Tunnel Road and Suranjan Das Road. According to the local residents, the local authority did not pay enough attention to resolve the issues. Shivoham Shiva Temple
The Shivoham Shiva Temple is a temple situated on Old Airport Road, Bangalore, India, dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Shiva. Built in 1995, it features a statue of Shiva. The temple attracts an estimated 500,000 worshippers and visitors each year, including between 100,000 and 150,000 on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri. History Formerly known as the Shiv Mandir, the temple was consecrated by Sri Shankaracharya of Sringeri on 26 February 1995. The idol of Lord Shiva was created by the sculptor Kashinath. Vimanapura or Baiyyappanahalli Vimanapura is an eastern suburb of Bangalore in Karnataka in India. It is so called because it is near HAL Bangalore International Airport, Bangalore HAL airport. Jeevana Vima Nagara is a residential area of east Bangalore. The area extends from the Indiranagar 80 Feet Road in the west to Suranjandas Road in the east.
