Murtuza Baig
Murtuza Ali Baig ( te, ముర్తుజా అలీ బిగ్; 8 November 1941 – 17 July 2015) was a first-class cricketer who played for Hyderabad and Oxford University between 1958 and 1971. Career Baig made his first-class debut for Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy in 1958-59 as a middle-order batsman. He played once in that season, and three times in 1959–60, but with little success. After attending Osmania University in Hyderabad he went to New College, Oxford. Between 1961 and 1964 he played 28 times for Oxford University, scoring 1349 runs at an average of 27.53. His highest score was 103 against Derbyshire in 1962. Derbyshire County Cricket Club
Derbyshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Derbyshire. Its limited overs team is called the Derbyshire Falcons in reference to the famous peregrine falcon which nests on the Derby Cathedral (it was previously called the Derbyshire Scorpions until 2005 and the Phantoms until 2010). Founded in 1870, the club held first-class status from its first match in 1871 until 1887. Because of poor performances and lack of fixtures in some seasons, Derbyshire then lost its status for seven seasons until it was invited into the County Championship in 1895. Andhra Cricket Team
The Andhra cricket team is an Indian domestic cricket team representing the South India state of Andhra Pradesh. The team's main home ground is Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy International Cricket Stadium at Visakhapatnam, while some home matches are also played at Anantapur and Kadapa. Overview The Andhra Cricket Association was formed in 1951. Andhra competed in the Ranji Trophy for the first time in the 1953–54 season, captained by C. K. Nayudu, who scored the team's first fifty in that match. Andhra has competed in every Ranji Trophy season since, with the exception of 1961–62, when it was absent. It falls under the South Zone of Indian cricket. Cambridge University Cricket Club
Cambridge University Cricket Club, first recorded in 1817, is the representative cricket club for students of the University of Cambridge. Depending on the circumstances of each individual match, the club has always been recognised as holding first-class status. The university played List A cricket in 1972 and 1974 only. It has not played top-level Twenty20 cricket. With some 1,200 members, home matches are played at Fenner's. The club has three men's teams (Blues, Crusaders and the Colleges XI) and one women's team which altogether play nearly 100 days of cricket each season.
