Murders Of Peter Neumair And Laura Perselli
The murders of Peter Neumair and Laura Perselli, also known as the Bolzano crime or Bolzano murder, was a case of double parricide committed on the afternoon of 4 January 2021, at a villa in Bolzano, Italy against an elderly couple, Peter Neumair and Laura Perselli. Their 31 year old son Benno Neumair, was found responsible for the murder. He initially declared himself innocent but later confessed. After months of intensive searches on the ground, the two bodies were found in the bed of the Adige river. The first to be found was that of his mother Laura Perselli, which was found on 6 February, lying on the bank of the river whose water level, with a complex Hydraulic machinery, hydraulic operation, had been purposely lowered by the investigators by about 20 cm in the stretch between Bolzano and Rovereto. Concealment of a corpse (Italian: L'occultamento di cadavere) is a crime provided for by the Italian legal system. It is punished by Article 412 of the and is included among the crimes against piety for the deceased, which protect the common feeling of piety inspired by human remains and the generalized feeling of respect that they inspire.
