Murder Of Susan Poupart
Susan "Suzy" Poupart (November 12, 1960 – May 20, 1990) was a Native Americans in the United States, Native American woman who disappeared in May 1990. Her body was discovered six months later. The murder currently remains cold case, unsolved, although a man was taken in for questioning for her death in 2007. Additionally, another pair of men are under suspicion. Case Poupart, a mother of two, was last seen on May 20, 1990, with two men after leaving a party in Lac du Flambeau (CDP), Wisconsin, Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin at 4:00 AM. According to one witness, she was apparently being forced into a vehicle. Six months after she went missing, on November 22, 1990, hunters discovered her remains in the Chequamegon–Nicolet National Forest, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Lac du Flambeau is a Unincorporated area#United States, unincorporated community in the town of Lac du Flambeau (town), Wisconsin, Lac du Flambeau in Vilas County, Wisconsin, United States. For statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau has defined that community as a census-designated place (CDP). The population was 1,845 at the 2020 census. Lac du Flambeau is the major community for the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa tribe. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 7.7 square miles (20.0 km2), of which, 5.0 square miles (13.0 km2) of it is land and 2.7 square miles (7.0 km2) of it (35.01%) is water.
