Monazir Hassan (born 5 February 1957) is an Indian politician. He was the member of the Indian Parliament, in 15th Lok Sabha (2009 to 2014) and represented Begusarai (Lok Sabha constituency). He joined Jan Suraaj Party on 22 July 2024. A trusted lieutenant of Nitish Kumar, Hassan had served as cabinet minister under Nitish before entering Lok Sabha. 1995 Bihar Legislative Assembly Election
The 11th Bihar Legislative Assembly elections were held in March 1995, to elect the 324 members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Janata Dal got a decisive victory in the state; political manoeuvre ensured Lalu Prasad Yadav's victory in the chief ministership.
