Mukund Parikh
Mukund Parikh is a Gujarati novelist, poet and playwright from Gujarat, India. Life Mukund Parikh was born on 26 January 1934 in Nadisar village (now in Panchmahal district, Gujarat) to Bhailal Parikh. He completed his primary and secondary education from his native town Balasinor. He completed his B. A. in Economics from Dharmendrasinhji College, Rajkot in 1957. He worked in a Provident Fund Commissioner Office from 1954 to 1980. He studied LL.B. from Ahmedabad in 1980 from Gujarat University. Since 1981, he is working as a lawyer. Works His ''Mahabhinishkraman'' (1968) was an experimental novel. The story follows a love triangle of a character named Amit Dalal and it explores his relationship with three ladies: Chandan, his mother; Rama, his wife and Saroj, his lover. Panchmahal District
Panchmahal, also known as Panch Mahals, is a district in the eastern portion of Gujarat State western India. ''Panch-mahal'' means "five tehsils/talukas" (5 sub-divisions), and refers to the five sub-divisions that were transferred by the Maharaja Jivajirao Scindia of Gwalior State to the British: Godhra, Dahod, Halol, Kalol and Jhalod, Devgadh Baria. The district had a population of 2,390,776 of which 12.51% were urban as of 2001. The district is located on eastern end of the state. Gujarat Sahitya Akademi
The Gujarat Sahitya Akademi ( gu, ગુજરાત સાહિત્ય અકાદમી) or Gujarat Sahitya Academy, established in 1981, is a government institution dedicated to the development of the languages spoken in Gujarat, India and their literature. Ravji Patel
Ravji Patel (Gujarati: રાવજી પટેલ; 15 November 1939 – 10 August 1968) was a modernist poet, short story writer and novelist of Gujarati language. Life He was born in Bhatpur village (now in Anand district, Gujarat) on 15 November 1939. His family was a native of Vallavpura village in Kheda district. He completed his primary education from his village, Vallavpura and moved to Ahmedabad for further education. He completed his S.S.C. from Navchetan High School, Ahmedabad. Then he joined City Arts College, but he could only study up to the second year of college and dropped out owing to financial difficulties. He worked briefly at various places like mills, libraries, newspapers and universities. After staying in Amirgadh and Anand for few months, he died in Ahmedabad on 10 August 1968 due to tuberculosis and mental disorder. Works He co-edited poetry journal ''Shabda'' with Mukund Parikh.
