Muhammad Ilyas Chaudhary () is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024. Political career Chaudhary contested the 2018 Pakistani general election from NA-71 Gujrat-IV as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), but was unsuccessful. He received 81,428 votes and was defeated by Chaudhry Abid Raza, a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML(N)). General elections were held in Pakistan on 25 July 2018 to elect the members of the 15th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. Chaudhry Abid Raza (; born 2 September 1972) is a Pakistani politician. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from August 2018 till August 2023, and from June 2013 to May 2018. Early life and education Abid Raza was born on 2 September 1972 in Kotla Arab Ali Khan, Kharian, Gujrat District. His father was elected chairman UC Kotla in the 60s, his family being well-known in local politics. He belongs to a Punjabi Gujjar family with Deobandi affiliation.
