Muhammad Erry Hidayat
Muhammad Erry Hidayat bin Muhammad Hidayat (born 24 November 1999) is a Malaysian weightlifter. He is the son of the country's former weightlifter Hidayat Hamidon who was the 1998 gold medal medalists in weightlifting at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. He has won several medals in various competitions, including a bronze medal at the 2019 SEA Games in Manila and a silver at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Erry also won a bronze medal at the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam and renewed the National 73 kg Weightlifting record by lifting 316 kg. In November 2023, Erry was crowned the Federal Territories Sportsman for 2021/2022. Career Erry made his international debut in 2015 at the 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games in Apia, Samoa where he won a gold in 69 kg category. 2018 Commonwealth Games
The 2018 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXI Commonwealth Games and also known as Gold Coast 2018, was an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth of Nations, Commonwealth that were held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, between 4 and 15 April 2018. Weightlifting generally refers to activities in which people lift weights, often in the form of dumbbells or barbells. People lift various kinds of weights for a variety of different reasons. Clean And Jerk
The clean and jerk is a composite of two weightlifting movements, most often performed with a barbell: the clean and the jerk. During the ''clean'', the lifter moves the barbell from the floor to a racked position across the deltoids, without resting fully on the clavicles. 2016 Sukma Games
The 2016 Sukma Games, officially known as the 18th Sukma Games was a Malaysian multi-sport event held in Sarawak. This was Sarawak's second time to host the Sukma Games, and its first time since Sukma Games#1990 Sukma Games, 1990. The games was held from 23 to 31 July 2016, although several events had commenced from 19 July 2016. Around 5670 athletes from 13 states, Federal Territory and Brunei participated at the games which featured 382 events in 24 sports. The games was opened by Abdul Taib Mahmud, the governor of Sarawak at the Sarawak Stadium.
