Muhamet Kapllani
Muhamet Ismail Kapllani (born 6 July 1943, in Kavajë) is a former Albanian diplomat who served as Foreign Minister of Albania in 1991. Early life Muhamet Kapllani was born on July 6, 1943, in the west-central town of Kavajë, present day Albania. From 1962–1966 he studied at the Faculty of Western Languages, Department of English Language and Literature, Peking University. Career During the period from 1966 until 1974, he worked as a lecturer and head of the English language department at the University of Tirana. From 1972–1974 he served as deputy dean at the university's Foreign Languages Faculty. Later that year, he was appointed first secretary and deputy ambassador of the permanent mission of Albania to the UN in New York and remained there until 1978. Alfred Moisiu
Alfred Spiro Moisiu (; born 1 December 1929) is an Albanian military general, diplomat and politician who served as the president of Albania from 2002 to 2007. He is the oldest son of Albanian Army general Spiro Moisiu. Early life, education and career Moisiu was born into the family of General Spiro Moisiu. In 1946 he was sent to the Soviet Union as a student. In 1948 he graduated from the military engineering school in Saint Petersburg (then Leningrad). He served in Tirana as a platoon-commander at the United Officers' School (1948–1949) and as a teacher at the Skanderbeg Military Academy (1949–1951). Fatos Nano
Fatos Thanas Nano (; born 16 September 1952) is an Albanian socialist politician who served as Prime Minister of Albania in 1991, from 1997 to 1998 and from 2002 to 2005. He was the first leader and founder of the Socialist Party of Albania and a member of the Albanian Parliament from 1991 to 1993 and 1997 to 2009. He reformed the anti-revisionist Marxist-Leninist ideology of the Labour Party of Albania into social democracy for its successor, the Socialist Party. During his leadership, the Socialist Party, as a result of reforms, joined the Socialist International and Party of European Socialists. Reis Malile (August 12, 1924 – March 6, 2003) was an Albanian politician and army officer. He served as the Foreign Minister of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania from 1982 to 1991.
