Mugo Kibati
Mugo Kibati (born 1969) is a Kenyan business executive who is the CEO of Telkom Kenya, a company that provides a full range service of fixed and mobile communication services, both voice and data, provided to the corporate, government and SME sectors. Kibati is also the Chairman of the Lake Turkana Wind Power Project (LTWP),a company with 40,000 acres (162km2) of land, 301 MW electricity production capacity, 365 turbines and a capital cost of Ksh 76 billion (€623 million). LTWP is the largest wind energy power plant in Africa. Kibati has served on several corporate boards, including I&M Bank and the Apollo Group. He has also held top national industry leadership positions at the Federation of Kenya Employers, the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). Moi University
Moi University is a public university located in Kesses, Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu county, in the former Rift Valley Province of Kenya. It was established in 1984 by the Moi University Act of the Parliament of Kenya, after recommendations from the McKay Commission. The current chancellor of the university is Professor Miriam Were while the vice-chancellor is Professor Isaac Sanga Kosgey. History Moi University was first established in 1984. Kenya Vision 2030 (Swahili: ''Ruwaza ya Kenya 2030'') is the country's development programme from 2008 to 2030. It was launched on 10 June 2008 by President Mwai Kibaki. Its objective is to help transform Kenya into a "newly industrializing, middle-income country providing a high quality of life to all its citizens by 2030 in a clean and secure environment." Developed through "an all-inclusive and participatory stakeholder consultative process, involving Kenyans from all parts of the country," the Vision is based on three "pillars": Economic, Social, and Political. Young African Leaders Initiative
The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) is an initiative of the United States Department of State. It was begun in 2010 by President Barack Obama. YALI is a programme aimed at educating and networking young African leaders with activities including the Mandela Washington Fellowship that brings them to study in the United States for six weeks, with follow-up resources, and student exchange programs. In 2014, the program was expanded to include four regional "leadership centers" in Ghana, Kenya, Senegal and South Africa. 500 participants in the Mandela Washington Fellowship arrived in the United States on June 16, 2014.
