Mueang Det
Mueang Det ( th, เมืองเดช) is a capital tambon (subdistrict) of Det Udom District, in Ubon Ratchathani Province, Thailand. In 2021, it had a population of 33,447 people. Neighbouring subdistricts are (clockwise from the south) Tha Pho Si, Na Charoen, Na Rueang, Kut Prathai, Phon Ngam and Klang. History The region was settled in the early 1800s, the first village was named Dom Yai village. The conflict between the governor of Sisaket, Phraya Viset Bhakdee (พระยาวิเศษภักดี), and three royal nobilities, including Luang Thibet (หลวงธิเบศร์), Luang Mahatthai (หลวงมหาดไทย), and Luang Abhai (หลวงอภัย) caused those three clans with members of 2,150 people to evacuate to Dom Yai village in 1845 and the village was promoted to the town named "Det Udom", under the control of the city of Khukhan. Phon Ngam, Det Udom
Phon Ngam ( th, โพนงาม) is a tambon (subdistrict) of Det Udom District, in Ubon Ratchathani Province, Thailand. In 2021, it had a population of 9,117 people. Neighbouring subdistricts are (clockwise from the south) Klang, Mueang Det, Kut Prathai, and Kham Khrang. History The region was first settled in 1906 by a group of 30 households led by Butprom Santa (บุตรพรม สันตะ); the first village was named "Nong Yaow" (หนองยาว; Long Pond), after the title of the pond nearby, and was followed by the second and third waves of the settlement in the 1940s. The tambon was created in 1986 by separating the district's capital, Mueang Det, into two halves, the eastern of which was named Phon Ngam subdistrict. While the Phon Ngam subdistrict is much older, the Tambon administrative organization (TAO) as the local administration unit was established in 1996. Thesaban
Thesaban ( th, เทศบาล, , ) are the municipalities of Thailand. There are three levels of municipalities: city, town, and sub-district. Bangkok and Pattaya are special municipal entities not included in the ''thesaban'' system. Sukhaphiban
Sukhaphiban ( th, สุขาภิบาล ; translated as "sanitary district") were administrative divisions of Thailand. Sanitary districts were the first sub-autonomous entities established in Thailand. A first such district was created in Bangkok by a royal decree of King Chulalongkorn in 1897. The king had learned about the sanitary districts in England during his European trip earlier that year, and he wanted to try this local administration in his country as well. Tha Chalom District became the second such district, created in 1906 and responsible for parts of Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province. In 1907 the act on operations of sanitary districts codified the regulations, and with the ''Local Administration Act'' of 1914 two levels of sukhaphiban were introduced, the ''sukhaphiban mueang'' for towns and ''sukhaphiban tambon'' for rural areas. Dom Pradit ( th, โดมประดิษฐ์) is a tambon (subdistrict) located in the southernmost region of Nam Yuen district, in Ubon Ratchathani Province, Thailand. It was the same-named district in Thailand's former province, , until being relegated to tambon and transferred to Ubon Ratchathani province in 1912.
