Mu-Tron EP
''Mu-Tron EP'' is the third extended play (EP) by English electronic band Ladytron. It was released in the United Kingdom in October 2000 by Invicta Hi-Fi Records on CD and 12" formats. The title "Mu-Tron" is a reference to the manufacturer of electronic musical effects with the same name. The cover was designed by band member Reuben Wu. "Another Breakfast With You" and "Paco!" were later included on Ladytron's debut album titled '' 604'', while "USA vs. White Noise" and "Playgirl" (Snap Ant Version) appeared as bonus tracks to the same album. Ladytron
Ladytron are an electronic band formed in Liverpool in 1999. The group consists of Helen Marnie (lead vocals, synthesizers), Mira Aroyo (vocals, synthesizers), and Daniel Hunt (synthesizers, guitar, vocals). Reuben Wu (synthesizers) was a member from 1999 until 2023. They have released seven studio albums: '' 604'' (2001), '' Light & Magic'' (2002), '' Witching Hour'' (2005), '' Velocifero'' (2008), '' Gravity the Seducer'' (2011), '' Ladytron'' (2019) and '' Time's Arrow'' (2023). New Wave Music

''Commodore Rock'' is the second EP by English electronic band Ladytron. It was released in June 2000 by Invicta Hi-Fi Records (UK) and Emperor Norton (US) on CD and 12" formats. A 10" vinyl special edition was released by French label Tricadel in the same year. This edition included Ladytron's debut single "He Took Her To a Movie" remixed by Tricadel's owner Bertrand Burgalat and the instrumental "Olivetti Jerk". "Playgirl" was sung by Helen Marnie. "Commodore Rock" and "Paco!" were sung by Mira Aroyo. "Miss Black" and "Olivetti Jerk" are instrumentals. "Playgirl", "Commodore Rock" and "Paco!" were later included on the Ladytron's debut album ''604''. Daniel Hunt is credited for EP's design, Reuben Wu for EP's illustration and Mira Aroyo for photography. Reception ''Commodore Rock'' received a 4/5 rating from Allmusic. ''604'' is the debut studio album by English electronic music band Ladytron, released in the United States on 6 February 2001 by Emperor Norton Records and in the United Kingdom on 12 March 2001 by Invicta Hi-Fi. It was co-produced, engineered and mixed by Lance Thomas. Some of the tracks had been previously released on their EPs '' Miss Black and Her Friends'' (1999), ''Mu-Tron EP'' (2000) and ''Commodore Rock'' (2000). On 20 July 2004, ''604'' was reissued in the US with four bonus tracks, the first three being live recordings made on 16 May 2003 at the Central Military Club in Sofia, Bulgaria. The January 2011 re-release of the album on Nettwerk also features these same bonus tracks. In a 2002 interview with online magazine Chaos Control, Daniel Hunt stated that the album was named after the area code for British Columbia. The twelve-inch single (often written as 12-inch or 12) is a type of vinyl ( polyvinyl chloride or PVC) gramophone record that has wider groove spacing and shorter playing time with a "single" or a few related sound tracks on each surface, compared to LPs (long play) which have several songs on each side. ''Musitronics'', often shortened to Mu-tron, was a manufacturer of electronic musical effects active in the 1970s. Founded by Mike Beigel and Aaron Newman, the company's products provided filtering and processing effects and were derived from synthesizer components. The company was known for producing high-quality products with many user-adjustable parameters, but high production costs and a failed product line, the Gizmotron, caused its downfall. Their best-known product was the Mu-tron III envelope filter, "the world's first envelope-controlled filter", first made in 1972 and quickly becoming an essential effect for many funk musicians. Reuben Wu
Reuben Wu (born 6 September 1975) is a British artist, photographer, and musician. He is also known as a founding member of the electronic band Ladytron. Biography Reuben Wu was born in Liverpool in 1975, the son of Hongkonger immigrants. He trained in industrial design at Sheffield Hallam University, graduating in 1997. Meanwhile, he met Daniel Hunt in Liverpool in 1994; they formed Ladytron in 1999, along with Mira Aroyo and Helen Marnie. Wu finished his MSc in 1998 at the University of Liverpool. He worked as an industrial designer until going full-time with the band in 2002. Wu and Hunt launched the Liverpool nightclub Evol in 2003 and bar/music venue Korova in 2005.
