Mr. Jaws
"Mr. Jaws" is a novelty song by Dickie Goodman released on Cash Records in 1975. This record is a parody of the 1975 summer blockbuster film '' Jaws'', with Goodman interviewing the shark (whom he calls "Mr. Jaws"), as well as the film's main characters, Brody, Hooper, and Quint. Goodman makes full use of his practice of " break-in" music sampling, in which all of the interview answers are lyrics from popular songs from that year. The single peaked at #4 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in October 1975. On the ''Cash Box'' Top 100, it fared even better, reaching #1. Goodman would later make more parodies of Hollywood films, along with his political satire records. The B-side of this single was "Irv's Theme". Dickie Goodman
Richard Dorian Goodman (April 19, 1934 – November 6, 1989), was an American musician and record producer. He is best known for inventing and using the technique of the " break-in", an early precursor to sampling, that used brief clips of popular records and songs to "answer" comedic questions posed by voice actors on his novelty records. He also wrote and produced some original material, most often heard on the B-sides of his break-in records. Career Goodman's first known release came in 1952, when he was just 18 years old. Under the name "Dick Good", Chess Records released his version of Johnny Standley's comic monologue " It's in the Book". In June 1956, in partnership with Bill Buchanan, he made his first hit record, " The Flying Saucer Parts 1 & 2", a take-off of Orson Welles' '' War of the Worlds''. "One of These Nights" is a song by the American rock band Eagles, written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey. The title track from their 1975 '' One of These Nights'' album, the song became their second single to top the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart after " Best of My Love" and also helped propel the album to number one. The single version was shortened from the album version of the song, removing most of the song's intro and most of its fade-out, as well. "Love Will Keep Us Together" is a song written by Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield. It was first recorded by Sedaka in 1973.
