Mqabba FC
Mqabba F.C. is a Maltese football club based in Mqabba, a small village in south-western Malta.They were founded in 1957, and currently will play in the third tier of Malta, the National Amateur League. History During the First World War, some Maltese soldiers brought football to the village but only after the Second World War a club was first established. ''Mqabba Ramblers'' played their first game in 1953 and they joined the Maltese Amateur FA in 1955. At the end of the 1950s, two clubs from Mqabba, ''Mqabba Rovers'' and ''Mqabba Ħajduks'' played in the Maltese amateur league and they decided to merge and take the name of the latter. Mqabba Ħajduks The merger club played its first game in 1958 and four years later they were allowed to the Maltese Third Division by the Maltese FA. Mqabba
Mqabba () is a town in the Western Region of Malta. It has a traditional Maltese village layout, with a population of about 3,339 inhabitants, as of January 2019. The focal point is the Parish Church of the Assumption, found at the core of the village. It has two band clubs, a number of gardens and a list of national monuments. The motto of the village is 'Non Nisi Per Ardua' which translates into 'Only with Ability'. About Mqabba was built around the Parish Church, the landmark of the village. The church is dedicated to the Assumption, with its feast being held every 15 August. The feast of Our Lady of Lilies (Madonna tal-Gilju) is celebrated on the third Sunday of June. 2025–26 Maltese National Amateur League
The 2025–26 Maltese National Amateur League (referred to, for sponsorship reasons, as the BOV National Amateur League) occurs between 20 September 2025 and April 2026. This will be the second season since the Amateur League was split and the league system returned back into two tiers since the 2019-20 season. Macron will provide the match footballs this season. Thomas Veronese (born 2 November 1986) is an Italian professional footballer playing for Mqabba in the Maltese BOV Challenge League. Club career Veronese played youth football with Venezia F.C.
