Moussa El-Hage
Moussa El-Hage (, born on 19 February 1954, in Aintoura, Lebanon), is a Maronite Catholic eparch, now Archbishop of the Archeparchy of Haifa and the Holy Land and Patriarchal Exarch of Jerusalem and Palestine and Jordan. Life Moussa El-Hage joined the Maronite religious Antonin Maronite Order in 1972, making vows in 1979, receiving holy orders on 14 August 1980. He studied Philosophy and Theology at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas and Biblical Theology in Studium Biblicum Franciscanum (part of the Pontifical University Antonianum), and is a PhD in Oriental Studies and Liturgy at the Pontifical Oriental Institute. In addition to Arabic, El-Hage speaks English, French and Italian; and knows the languages Syriac, Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic. Aintoura
Aintoura (; Syriac: ܥܝܢܛܘܪܐ) is a town and municipality in the Keserwan District of the Keserwan-Jbeil Governorate, Lebanon. It is located 18 kilometers north of Beirut. The average elevation of Aintoura is 230 meters above the sea level and its total land area is 71 hectares. Its inhabitants are predominantly Maronite Christians. History Aintoura, which means "the water spring of the mountain" (ܥܝܢܛܘܪܐ) in Syriac, is a very old village inhabited, as tools found in two of its historic grottos witness, since the Stone Age. A titular bishop in various churches is a bishop who is not in charge of a diocese. Elias Chacour
Elias Chacour (, ; born 29 November 1939) is a Palestinian Arab-Israeli who served as the Archbishop of Akko, Haifa, Nazareth and All Galilee of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church from 2006 to 2014. Noted for his efforts to promote reconciliation between Palestinians and Jews, he is the author of two books about the experience of Palestinian people living in present-day Israel. He describes himself as a "Palestinian-Arab-Christian-Israeli." Edgard Madi or Edgard Amine Madi (born 23 March 1956 in Beit Mery, Lebanon) is the bishop of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of São Paulo in Brazil. Biography Edgard Madi ended his high school and began his studies at Collège Sagesse in Beirut and ecclesiastical studies at Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon, between 1977 and 1981. Ordained a priest on August 14, 1983, Madi moved to Boston in the United States where he majored in Education between 1988 and 1991. Mariamite Maronite Order
The Mariamite Maronite Order (; abbreviated OMM), also called the Aleppians or Halabites, is a monastic order in the Levantine Catholic Maronite Church, which from the beginning has been specifically a monastic Church. The order was founded in 1694 in the Monastery of Mart Moura, Ehden, Lebanon, by three Maronite young men from Aleppo, Syria, under the patronage of Patriarch Estephan Douaihy (1670–1704). Its name comes from the Arabic ''Halabiyyah'' (), ''city of Aleppo'' monks. It is one of the three Lebanese congregations founded by Saint Anthony the Great. The name is in reference to the origin of the founders and first members of the order. On 9 April 1969, the order was named, in Latin, ''Ordo Maronita Beatae Mariae Virginis''. François Eid, OMM (born on 24 July 1943 in Mtolleh, Chouf District, Lebanon) is a retired Maronite Bishop of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Cairo and Procurator of the Maronite Patriarch at the Holy See.
