''Mouse'' is an upcoming American coming-of-age comedy drama film directed by Alex Thompson and Kelly O'Sullivan, and written by O'Sullivan. It stars Sophie Okonedo, Katherine Mallen Kupferer, Chloe Coleman, Iman Vellani, David Hyde Pierce, and Tara Mallen. Premise When seventeen-year old Minnie's best friend Callie is killed in an accident, she struggles to find an identity of her own and forms a complicated friendship with Callie's grieving mother. Alex Thompson (filmmaker)
Alex Thompson is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He directed and produced ''Saint France''s (2019), which won the Audience Award and the Special Jury Award at 2019 SXSW Film Festival. He also produced and co-directed '' Ghostlight,'' which opened the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, along with his partner Kelly O'Sullivan, who wrote both screenplays. He was nominated for the Bingham Ray breakthrough director prize at the Gotham Awards in 2020.
