James Mountford Allen
James Mountford Allen (14 August 1809, Crewkerne, Somerset – 1883, St Pancras, London) was an English architect. Allen was the son of Rev. John Allen, vicar of Bleddington, Gloucestershire, and formerly the master of Crewkerne Grammar School, Somersetshire. After studying architecture for five years at Exeter under Mr. Cornish, he came to London at the age of 21, worked for some time in Mr. Fowler's office, and settled down into general practice till he was 47, when he returned to Crewkerne. There he carried on an extensive practice as a church architect till his death in 1883. A considerable number of churches, rectory-houses, and schools, either new or restored, passed through his hands, in addition to gentlemen's residences. Harry Mountford
Harry Washington Mountford (17 May 1884 – 1 February 1957) was an English footballer who played as a forward for Burslem Port Vale, Everton, Burnley, and Third Lanark. He scored 43 goals in 150 league appearances in a ten-year career in the English Football League. Career Burslem Port Vale Mountford began his career with Hanley Swifts before joining Burslem Port Vale as an amateur in June 1903. He scored his first goal in the Second Division on 23 January 1904, in a 4–1 defeat at Glossop. He played a total of seven games in 1903–04, scoring two goals. He hit three goals in 28 appearances in 1904–05. He scored a hat-trick past Lincoln City in a 3–1 win at the Athletic Ground on 30 December 1905, and finished the 1905–06 season as the club's top-scorer with 15 goals in 37 appearances. He scored 11 goals in 37 games in 1906–07, before being transferred to Everton in June 1907, when Vale suffered a financial crisis and resigned from the English Football League. ...

Simon Mountford (died 1537/38)
Simon Mountford (by 1487 – 1537 or 1538), of Sutton Coldfield and Kingshurst in Coleshill, Warwickshire, was an English politician. He was the only son of Thomas Mountford. His grandfather, Sir Simon Mountford, was also an MP, and had been executed for supporting Perkin Warbeck, one of the pretenders to the throne of England during the reign of Henry VII. Sean Mountford (born 11 October 1988) is an English footballer who plays as a left-back and wide midfielder. He started his career with Bolton Wanderers before moving to Cyprus to play professionally with AEZ Zakakiou and Akritas Chlorakas. Reginald Charles Mountford (16 July 1908 – 1994) was an English professional footballer who played as a full-back in the Football League for Darlington and Huddersfield Town. He went on to manage Copenhagen club Boldklubben Frem and the Denmark national team. Mountford started his career at Darlington, making 12 appearances and scoring three goals before moving to Huddersfield Town in 1929. He made 236 appearances and scored seven goals up until the outbreak of World War II (his three appearances in the 1939–40 season were struck from the record). He played one wartime international for England in a 3–2 defeat against Scotland at St James' Park on 8 February 1941 in front of a crowd of 25,000. Peter Mountford (born 30 September 1960) is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder in the Football League. Playing career Norwich City Mountford played six times in the English top flight for Norwich City, after making his debut coming off the bench in a Division One league game against Arsenal at the age of 21. He made his full debut in the same season against Brighton Hove Albion in 1982. However, Mountford's Norwich career had been blighted by injury. Dubbed a fine prospect after his first year as an apprentice, he was rewarded with a four-year contract on his 18th birthday, soon after scoring for the club's reserve team. Peter Neville George Mountford (born 21 June 1940) is a former English first-class cricketer. Peter Mountford was educated at Bromsgrove School and Keble College, Oxford. An opening bowler, he played several matches for Oxford University in 1962 without establishing himself in the team. He had one outstanding performance, in May 1963, when Oxford played the touring West Indians at The Parks. Biography A former adjunct scholar of the Alexis de Tocqueville Institution, Mountford received an MFA in fiction in 2006 from the University of Washington, where he won the David Guterson Prize for a thesis. He was a 2012–14 writer-in-residence for the Richard Hugo House.
