Mountain View High School (MVHS) is a public high school in the Northwestern United States, northwest United States, located in Bend, Oregon. History Mountain View High School opened in 1979 as the second high school in the greater Bend area. It was the first new high school in the area since Bend High School had opened in 1904, and the two schools remained the only traditional high schools in Bend until Summit High School (Oregon), Summit High School opened in 2001 (Marshall High School (Bend, Oregon), Marshall High School is a magnet high school also located in Bend). The school's first principal was Jack Harris; after his retirement in 1987, the school named the football stadium after him. In 1989, the students had the ability to leave campus during lunch (open campus), but at the time the school district administration was considering ending this. Bend is a city in central Oregon and the county seat of Deschutes County, Oregon, Deschutes County, Oregon, United States. It is located to the east of the Cascade Range, on the Deschutes River. The site became known by pioneers as a ford (crossing), fordable crossing point of the river, where it ran through a bend. An 1870s ranch popularized the name "Farewell Bend", with the post office later distinguishing the area as Bend. It was incorporated as a city in 1905, starting off as a logging town. Cody Hollister (born November 18, 1993) is an American professional football wide receiver. He played college football at Arkansas. Professional career New England Patriots Hollister signed with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2017. He was waived by the Patriots on September 2, 2017, and was signed to the practice squad the next day. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Patriots on February 6, 2018. The Oregon Ducks track and field program is the intercollegiate track and field team for the University of Oregon located in the U.S. state of Oregon. The team competes at the Division I (NCAA), NCAA Division I level and is a member of the Big Ten Conference. Ashton James Eaton (born January 21, 1988) is a retired American decathlete and two-time Olympic champion, who holds the world record in the indoor heptathlon event. Eaton was the second decathlete (after Roman Šebrle) to break the 9,000-point barrier in the decathlon, with 9,039 points, a score he bettered on August 29, 2015, when he beat his own world record with a score of 9,045 points, and remains the only person to exceed 9,000 points twice. Linsey Corbin
Linsey Corbin (born February 16, 1981) is an American triathlete who races primarily in non-drafting, long-distance events. Her career includes a third place at the 2011 Ironman 70.3 World Championship and eight Ironman race wins. Career Corbin was born Linsey Pickell to parents Tom and Betty in Greenbrae, California, and grew up in Bend, Oregon, where she attended Mountain View High School.
