Mountain View High School (Mesa)
Mountain View High School is a high school in Mesa, Arizona. It was established in 1976, the third public high school in Mesa. It is known for its numerous athletic and academic accomplishments. The school's mascot is a Toro. Known as the Campus of Champions. The Toro Spiritline has won many state and national titles. In the 1984–85 school year, it was honored as a Blue Ribbon school. Mountain View was named a silver medal school by '' U.S. News & World Report''. Athletics Mountain View was included on ''Sports Illustrateds 2005 list of ''Top 25 High School Athletic Programs in the Nation'': Though the school hasn't been around for long, Mountain View has quickly established itself as king of the hill in Arizona. Breeja Larson (born April 16, 1992) was an American former competition swimmer for Texas A&M University who specialized in the breaststroke, and earned a gold medal in the 4×100-meter medley relay at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Larson was born in Mesa, Arizona, one of seven sisters. She later moved to Boise, Idaho, where she attended Boise's Centennial High School for three years and graduated from Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona, in 2010. She swam for the Centennial Patriot and Mountain View Toros high school swim teams. As a senior, she was the state runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke. Tommy Kuhse (born January 5, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for Derthona Basket of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). He played five seasons of college basketball at Saint Mary's College of California, Saint Mary's before going undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft.
