Mount Tlingit
Mount Tlingit is a 12,606-foot (3,842-meter) mountain summit in Alaska, United States. Description Mount Tlingit is part of the Fairweather Range which is a subrange of the Saint Elias Mountains. The glaciated peak is located in Glacier Bay National Park, southeast of the Canada–United States border, and east of Mount Fairweather, which is the highest peak in the Fairweather Range. Tlingit ranks as the sixth-highest peak in the park and 76th-highest in Alaska. Precipitation runoff and meltwater from its surrounding glaciers drains into Glacier Bay Basin and the Gulf of Alaska. The mountain's toponym has not been officially adopted by the United States Board on Geographic Names. Mount Tlingit should not be confused with officially-named Tlingit Peak (3,169 feet) which is also within Glacier Bay National Park. The Fairweather Range is the unofficial name for a mountain range located in the U.S. state of Alaska and the Canadian province of British Columbia. It is the southernmost range of the Saint Elias Mountains. The northernmost section of the range is situated in Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park while the southernmost section resides in Glacier Bay National Park, in the Hoonah-Angoon Census Area. In between it goes through the southeastern corner of Yakutat Borough. Peaks of this range include Mount Fairweather (the highest point in British Columbia) and Mount Quincy Adams . Mount Salisbury
Mount Salisbury is a peak in the Fairweather Range of Alaska, 6 miles (10 km) southeast of Mount Fairweather. Its east slopes feed one of the northern branches of the Johns Hopkins Glacier, which flows into Glacier Bay. On its western side is a large cirque, shared with Mount Fairweather, Mount Quincy Adams, and Lituya Mountain, which heads the Fairweather Glacier; this flows almost to the Pacific coast at Cape Fairweather. Though not exceptional in terms of absolute elevation, Mount Salisbury does possess great vertical relief over local terrain: for example, the southwest side of the mountain drops over to the Johns Hopkins Glacier in only five miles. Johns Hopkins Glacier
Johns Hopkins Glacier is a long glacier located in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve in the U.S. state of Alaska. It begins on the east slopes of Lituya Mountain and Mount Salisbury, and trends east to the head of Johns Hopkins Inlet, southwest of the terminus of Clark Glacier on Mount Abbe, and northwest of Hoonah. It was named after Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in 1893 by Harry Fielding Reid. It is one of the few advancing tidewater glaciers of the Fairweather Range. Mount Turner (Fairweather Range)
Mount Turner, also known as Boundary Peak 162, is an 8,661+ foot (2,640+ meter) glaciated mountain summit located in the Fairweather Range of the Saint Elias Mountains, on the Canada–United States border between southeast Alaska and British Columbia. The peak is situated on the shared boundary of Glacier Bay National Park with Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park, west of Tarr Inlet, and southwest of Mount Forde, which is the nearest peak. Turner is the highest point on the divide which separates Ferris Glacier from Margerie Glacier. The mountain's name was officially adopted by the Geographical Names Board of Canada on March 31, 1924. Margerie Glacier is a long tidewater glacier in Glacier Bay Basin, Glacier Bay, Alaska, United States within the boundaries of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.
