Mount Pleasant GO Station
Mount Pleasant GO Station is a GO Transit railway station Brampton, Ontario, Canada. On the Kitchener line, it serves the Mount Pleasant district of Brampton. It is located at Bovaird Drive and Ashby Field Drive. As of September 2015, it is the western terminus for most off-peak Kitchener line train services. History The station was completed on March 15, 2006, but it opened for service on February 7, 2005 while still under construction because GO Transit needed to alleviate parking shortages at Brampton GO Station, and also needed to serve the nearby community. Mount Pleasant is wheelchair-accessible with a mini-platform. The parking lot has 1486 spaces and sufficient land to permit future expansion to about 2000 spaces. 561 Züm Queen West is an express bus route in Brampton, Ontario that was introduced on September 6, 2016 as part of Züm phase 2. It runs from Mount Pleasant GO Station where it connects with 505 Züm Bovaird and continues west along Bovaird Drive, south along Mississauga Road, and east along Queen Street to Downtown Brampton Terminal. Brampton GO Station
Brampton GO Station is a railway station served by GO Transit and Via Rail, located at 27 Church Street West in downtown Brampton, Ontario, Canada. It is directly connected to the Downtown Brampton Terminal which serves GO Transit and Brampton Transit buses. History Brampton station opened in 1856 as a part of the Grand Trunk Railway (GTR) line between Toronto and London. The current station building was built in 1907. Mount Pleasant, Brampton
Mount Pleasant is a neighbourhood of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, located in the northwestern portion of the city. Historically, the community was a rural hamlet surrounded by agricultural lands. Since opening the Mount Pleasant GO Station in 2006, the area has experienced rapid suburban growth. Along with the Mount Pleasant GO Station retail amenities have opened in the area. The public library has opened up both floors and the library building is a reconstructed historic CPR station structure used as a cultural facility in the Mount Pleasant Civic Square shared with the Peel District School Board and the library.
