Mount Lawley District Cricket Club
Mount Lawley District Cricket Club is a semi-professional cricket club which plays in Western Australian Grade Cricket competition which is now referred as Western Australian Premier Cricket. The club joined the Western Australian Cricket Association "A" grade district competition as the Maylands-Mount Lawley Cricket Club in 1924-25 after having applied for entry two years earlier. The name was changed to Mount Lawley Cricket Club in 1927–28. The club's first home ground was Maylands Oval, which later became known as Shearn Park. This was granted in 1923. In 1947-48 senior matches moved to Inglewood Oval, then in October 1978 to Cornwall Reserve in Dianella. In 1982-83 the ground was renamed Breckler Park. Western Australian Grade Cricket
Western Australian Premier Cricket is a club cricket cricket competition played at a level below the first-class Western Warriors and other state teams. The competition is administered by the Western Australian Cricket Association. It is the premier club cricket competition in Western Australia and players vying for Western Warriors and national team selection are typically chosen from Premier Cricket competition clubs. Retiring international and first-class players wishing to continue playing will generally return to their original Premier Cricket club. There are currently 16 teams in the competition. Geoff Marsh
Geoffrey Robert Marsh (born 31 December 1958) is an Australian former cricketer, coach and selector. He played 50 Test cricket, Test matches and 117 One Day Internationals for Australia national cricket team, Australia as an Batting order (cricket)#Opening batsmen or openers, opening batsman. Marsh was a part of the Australian team that won their first world title during the 1987 Cricket World Cup. As the coach of Australia he was in charge when Australia won the 1999 Cricket World Cup in England. Tom Beaton
Thomas Michael Beaton (born 28 November 1990) is an Australian cricketer who has played for Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers domestically. A right-handed batsman, he also played with the Melbourne Renegades for the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons of the Big Bash League. Cricket career As of 2009 Beaton was playing for Mount Lawley in Western Australian club cricket and in August the Cricket Australia Youth Selection Panel selected him in a fourteen-man squad which played five one-day matches against a Sri Lanka side in the Northern Territory. John McGuire (sportsman)
John Peter McGuire (born 14 July 1954) is a former Australian rules football player and cricketer. He is of Aboriginal descent. Biography McGuire attended Guildford Grammar School between 1970 and 1972. He and his wife Karen share a son and a daughter. Cricket McGuire played most of his career for Mount Lawley District Cricket Club in Western Australian Grade Cricket and is second in the all-time runscoring list for the first grade competition, scoring 10,004 runs. He also holds several club records, including the most career runs (9204) and the most career catches (160). Christopher James Jordan (born 4 October 1988) is a Bajan-English cricketer who plays for England in One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket, and previously played for the Test team. Dean Graham Brownlie (born 30 July 1984) is a New Zealand international cricketer who last played for the Northern Districts cricket team in New Zealand domestic cricket. Born in Australia, he has represented the New Zealand national cricket team in all three formats, qualifying to represent the team by way of his father's birthplace. Early career Brownlie was born in Perth, Western Australia. Michael Klinger
Michael Klinger (born 4 July 1980) is an Australian former first-class cricketer, who held the record for the most runs scored in the Big Bash League when he retired in 2019. Until the 2008–09 season, Klinger played for Victoria and for St Kilda Cricket Club in Premier Cricket. He joined the South Australia Redbacks for the 2008–09 season, was named their Captain in 2010, and was recognised as the State Player of the Year in both 2009 and 2010. He was one of the 350 players under the hammer for the IPL Auction 2011, and was bought by Kochi Tuskers Kerala. Michael Robert John Veletta (born 30 October 1963) is a former Australian cricketer. He played in eight Test cricket, Test matches and 20 One Day Internationals between 1987 and 1990. He played 127 first-class matches including 114 Sheffield Shield matches, and 41 domestic one-day matches for Western Warriors, Western Australia. Veletta was a part of the Australian team that won their first world title during the 1987 Cricket World Cup. Domestic Career Veletta made his first class debut in 1983-84. Joseph Ravindran Ratnayeke (born 2 May 1960), is a Sri Lankan businessman and former cricketer who was ODI captain of Sri Lanka national cricket team. Ratnayeke played 22 Tests and 78 ODIs from 1982 to 1990, his Test best bowling performance of eight wickets for 83 runs at Jinnah Stadium (Sialkot) Pakistan was a Sri Lankan Test record at the time, and was also vice captain to Arjuna Ranatunga. Dermot Reeve
Dermot Alexander Reeve OBE (born 2 April 1963) is an English former cricketer, best known as an unorthodox all-rounder and captain and, most recently, coach of the New Zealand side, Central Districts. He was a part of the English squad which finished as runners-up at the 1992 Cricket World Cup. Reeve played in three Tests and 29 One Day Internationals (ODI) for England.
