Mount Gray
Mount Gray () is a rounded, ice-worn mountain on the southwest part of the McDonald Heights in coastal Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. It stands on the east side of Hull Glacier, north of Oehlenschlager Bluff. McDonald Heights
The McDonald Heights () are broad, mainly snow-covered heights about long and rising over between Cape Burks and Morris Head on the coast of Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. The heights are bounded southward by Hull Glacier, Kirkpatrick Glacier and Johnson Glacier. The feature was photographed from aircraft of the United States Antarctic Service, 1939–1941, was observed and partially mapped from during February 1962, and was mapped in detail by the United States Geological Survey in 1965. The heights were named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after Captain Edwin A. McDonald, U.S. Navy, Deputy Commander of the U.S. Naval Support Force, Antarctica, in 1962, and Commander of the Task Unit that explored this coast aboard ''Glacier'' in February 1962. Marie Byrd Land
Marie Byrd Land (MBL) is an unclaimed region of Antarctica. With an area of , it is the largest unclaimed territory on Earth. It was named after the wife of American naval officer Richard E. Byrd, who explored the region in the early 20th century. The territory lies in West Antarctica, east of the Ross Ice Shelf and the Ross Sea and south of the Pacific Ocean portion of the Southern Ocean, extending eastward approximately to a line between the head of the Ross Ice Shelf and Eights Coast. It stretches between 158°W and 103°24'W. The inclusion of the area between the Rockefeller Plateau and Eights Coast is based upon Byrd's exploration. Hull Glacier () is a glacier, about long, flowing northwest between Mount Giles and Mount Gray into Hull Bay, in Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. The United States Antarctic Program (or USAP; formerly known as the United States Antarctic Research Program or USARP and the United States Antarctic Service or USAS) is an organization of the United States government which has presence in the Antarctica continent.
