Mouna Poratam
''Mouna Poratam'' (''The Silent War'' or ''The Silent Struggle'') is a 1989 Indian drama film directed by Mohan Gandhi, starring debutants Yamuna and Vinod Kumar, with music composed by S. Janaki. The movie is based on the real-life story of Sabita Badhei, which gained massive media coverage. It tells the story of a tribal girl, Durga (portrayed by Yamuna), who is betrayed by a government officer and fights for her conjugal rights, seeking marital recognition to give proper identity to her illegitimate child. The government intervenes to appoint a Lok Adalat to give speedy justice in this case. Produced by Ushakiran Movies, the film won two Nandi Awards. A sequel for the film, in the form of TV serial, began airing from 4 April 2022 on ETV under the same title. Ramoji Rao
Cherukuri Ramoji Rao (16 November 1936 – 8 June 2024) was an Indian businessman, media proprietor and film producer. He was head of the Ramoji Group which owns the world's largest film production facility Ramoji Film City, '' Eenadu'' newspaper, ETV Network of TV channels, film production company Ushakiran Movies. His other business ventures included Margadarsi Chit Fund, Dolphin Group of Hotels, Kalanjali Shopping Mall, Priya Pickles, ETV Win OTT platform and Mayuri Film Distributors. Rao garnered four Filmfare Awards South, five Nandi Awards and the National Film Award for his works in Telugu cinema. In 2016, he was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian honour, for his contributions in journalism, literature and education. Rallapalli (actor)
Rallapalli Venkata Narasimha Rao (15 August 1945 – 17 May 2019), popularly known as Rallapalli, was an Indian actor known for his works primarily in Telugu films and television. He won two state Nandi Awards. Life and career Rallapalli Venkata Narasimha Rao was born in Anantapuramu, Andhra Pradesh on August 15, 1945. He started off his career in 1960 as a theatre artist before marking his movie debut in 1974 with ''Sthree''. He acted in about 850 films in a variety of roles, including that of a lead actor. He also worked as a staff artiste in Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He played pivotal roles in films such as ''Bombay'' (1995) and '' Minsara Kanavu'' (1997) in Tamil. Death Rallapalli died on 17 May 2019 at Maxcure Hospital, Hyderabad following ill health.
