Motorcycle Seat
A motorcycle seat (sometimes saddle) is where rider sits, and may also accommodate a passenger. The most common type of motorcycle seat is a dual saddle or bench seat, which runs along the top of the chassis and is long enough for a pillion passenger to straddle the motorcycle behind the rider. Two detached seats, rather than one elongated one, were more common until the mid 20th century. A single, or solo, seat is only large enough for the rider. They are typical of racing, off-road, and many historic motorcycles. In motorcycle trials, the bikes have no seating at all, as the rider remains standing on the footpegs for the entire competition. Triumph Trident (3)
The Triumph Trident is a three-cylinder motorcycle of either 750 cc or 900 cc capacity. These bikes were produced from 1991 to 1998 at Hinckley, Leicestershire, England, by Triumph Motorcycles Ltd, the successor business to the defunct Triumph Engineering at Meriden Works, Warwickshire, England. Overview A range of new 750 cc and 900 cc triple-cylinder bikes (and 1,000 cc and 1,200 cc four-cylinder bikes) were launched at the September 1990 Cologne Motorcycle Show. The motorcycles used famous model names from the glory days of Meriden Triumph and were first made available to the public between March (Trophy 1200 being the first) and September 1991. Pillion Passenger
A pillion is a secondary pad, cushion, or seat behind the main seat or saddle on a motorcycle or moped. A passenger in this seat is said to "ride pillion". The word is derived from the Scottish Gaelic for "little rug", ''pillean'', from the Latin ''pellis'', "animal skin". One or more pelts often were used as a secondary seat on horseback; the usage has carried over to motorcycles. Motorcycle trials, also known as observed trials, often called simply trial or trials, is a non-speed event on specialized motorcycles. The sport is most popular in the United Kingdom and Spain, though there are participants around the globe. BMW R1200RT
The BMW R1200RT is a touring or sport touring motorcycle that was manufactured from 2005 to 2019 by BMW Motorrad to replace the R1150RT model. The Daimler ''Reitwagen'' ("riding car") or ''Einspur'' ("single track") was a motor vehicle made by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in 1885. It is widely recognized as the first motorcycle. Bicycle Saddle
A bicycle saddle, sometimes called a bicycle seat, is one of five contact points on an upright bicycle, the others being the two Bicycle pedal, pedals and the two handles on the Bicycle handlebar, handlebars. Saddle
A saddle is a supportive structure for a rider of an animal, fastened to an animal's back by a girth. The most common type is equestrian. However, specialized saddles have been created for oxen, camels and other animals. It is not known precisely when riders first began to use some sort of padding or protection, but a blanket attached by some form of surcingle or girth was probably the first "saddle", followed later by more elaborate padded designs. The solid saddle tree was a later invention, and though early stirrup designs predated the invention of the solid tree, the paired stirrup, which attached to the tree, was the last element of the saddle to reach the basic form that is still used today.
