West Delhi
West Delhi is one of the 11 administrative districts of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India. Administratively, the district is divided into three subdivisions, Patel Nagar, Rajouri Garden and Punjabi Bagh. West Delhi is bound by the districts of North West Delhi to the north, North Delhi and Central Delhi to the east, South West Delhi to the south, and Jhajjar District of Haryana state to the west. Major residential and commercial areas of Delhi like Janakpuri, Uttam Nagar and Tilak Nagar are located in West Delhi. West Delhi has an area of 129 km2, with a population density of nearly 14,000 persons per km2. The population of 2,543,243 consists of 1,356,240 males and 1,187,003 females. Punjabi Bagh
Punjabi Bagh is an affluent neighbourhood in the West Delhi district of Delhi, India. History The land of the nearby Madipur village was acquired by government of India to resettle Hindu and Sikh refugees from Pakistan. It was previously called'' Refugees Colony'', but was later renamed as Punjabi Bagh in 1960. These refugees were allotted large pieces of land. However economic growth only started after 1990s and not much later it started becoming the locality for big houses of traders, businessmen, and transporters. The area is famous for these large houses measuring 280–550 square yards, while some plots are in the range of 1100–2200 square yards. Acharya Shree Bhikshu Hospital
Acharya Shree Bhikshu Hospital is a government hospital located in Moti Nagar, New Delhi, India. Established in 1996, the hospital is managed by the Government of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. The hospital opened a new block for new mothers and children in November 2023. This block includes pediatricians and gynecologists and has 270 beds. It was constructed by the Public Works Department (PWD) at an estimated cost of around Rs 67.59 crore, as reported by a government official. On 9 September 2019, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal laid the foundation stone for a new hospital block in Moti Nagar. On 14 December 2023, Delhi Health Minister, Saurabh Bhardwaj made a surprise inspection at four government hospitals in Delhi including Acharya Shree Bhikshu Hospital.
