Most (; ) is a city in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 63,000 inhabitants. Most is an industrial city with a long tradition of lignite mining. Due to mining, the historic city was demolished and replaced by a planned city. In locations where mining has ended, Most is an example of successful landscape revitalization. Autodrom Most
Autodrom Most is a hard-surfaced long race track for motorsport outside of the city of Most (city), Most in the northwest of the Czech Republic. The racing circuit was built between 1978 and 1983, but the Most district was known for organizing motorcycle and car races earlier. Autodrome is used for races of cars, trucks, motorcycles and free circuit rides, but also for test rides of developed cars, training of drivers of fire engines, ambulance and police cars, as well as training of drivers in crisis situations, etc. In April 2021, the Most round was announced as being added into the Superbike World Championship series with a five-year agreement. Most Basin
The Most Basin (also known as North Bohemian Basin; , ) is a structural basin and geomorphological mesoregion of the Czech Republic. It is named after the city of Most. It forms the southwestern and central parts of the Ústí nad Labem Region. It is among the richest European deposits of lignite, which has been extracted here since the second half of 19th century, mostly by extensive surface mining. Geomorphology The Most Basin is a mesoregion of the Podkrušnohorská Macroregion within the Bohemian Massif. It is further subdivided into the microregions of Žatec Basin and Chomutov-Teplice Basin. A flat landscape without peaks is typical for the Most Basin. The highest point of the territory is a contour line near Libouchec, at above sea level. There are several low hills with an elevation of 350–380 in the southwestern part of the basin. Plot ''Most'' is the story of a single Czech father who takes his eight-year-old son to work with him at the railroad drawbridge where he is the bridge tender. In the beginning of the film, the boy meets a woman boarding a train who has a drug problem. Back at the bridge, the father goes into the engine room, and tells his son to stay at the edge of the nearby lake. A ship comes, and the bridge is lifted. Though it is supposed to arrive an hour later, the train happens to arrive early. The son sees this, and tries to warn his father, who is not paying attention and thus unaware of the oncoming train. ''The Bridge'' (Serbo-Croatian: ''Most'', Serbian Cyrillic alphabet, Serbian Cyrillic: ''Мост'') is a 1969 SFR Yugoslavia, Yugoslav partisan film directed by Hajrudin Krvavac. It stars Velimir 'Bata' Živojinović, Slobodan Perović, Boris Dvornik and Igor Galo. Similarly to Walter Defends Sarajevo, this film was also popular in the China, People's Republic of China.
