Mosspark(racehorse)
Mosspark () is a district in the Scottish city of Glasgow. It is situated south of the River Clyde, in the southwest of the city. History Mosspark and the lands of East and Mid-Henderston were incorporated into Glasgow in 1909. They covered seventy-two hectares of farmland and their acquisition was prompted by the need to develop peripheral communities to help ease the city's notorious overcrowding. The First World War was crucially important in determining Mosspark's pioneering place in Glasgow Corporation's housing programme. In 1919, groundbreaking legislation made it compulsory for local authorities to implement planned housing schemes, underpinned by subsidies. As a result, Mosspark became the most ambitious of the Corporation's immediate post-war developments. Dean Matthew Keenan (born 15 October 1985, Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish former footballer who is currently assistant manager at Troon. He previously played for Ayr United and Greenock Morton. Vids (also known as Vidz) is a late-night, humorous video review show that was hosted by Nigel Buckland and Stef Gardiner. The show was produced by Ideal World Productions for Channel 4 in the UK, and aired as part of Channel 4's overnight programming schedule, 4 Later. Series 1 & 2 was directed by Darren Bender. In 2012, a Vidz podcast was announced, but only one episode was released. Format Presenters Nige and Stef would review a selection of the week's new DVD and video releases in their own inimitable style from their mock-videostore located in Hamilton, near Glasgow. ''Still Game'' is a Scotland, Scottish sitcom produced by Effingee Productions, The Comedy Unit and BBC Scotland. It was created by Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, who played the lead characters, Jack Jarvis (Still Game character), Jack Jarvis, Esq and Victor McDade, two Glasgow, Glaswegian pensioners. Sherbrooke Mosspark Parish Church, also known as Sherbrooke St Gilbert's Church, is a congregation of the Church of Scotland serving the Pollokshields, Dumbreck and Mosspark areas on the south side of Glasgow, Scotland. It is within the Church of Scotland's Presbytery of Glasgow. History The church was designed by the architect William Forsyth McGibbon in a 13th-century Gothic Revival architecture, Gothic style. Pollokshields (, Scots language, Scots: ''Powkshiels'') is an area in the Southside of Glasgow, Scotland.
