Sheremetyevo International Airport (, , Internal code: ШРМ) is one of four international airports that serve the city of Moscow. It is the busiest airport in Russia and the post-Soviet states, as well as the ninth-busiest airport in Europe. Originally built as a military airbase, Sheremetyevo was converted into a civilian airport in 1959. The airport was originally named after a nearby village, and a 2019 contest extended the name to include the name of the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. The airport comprises six terminals: four international terminals (one under construction), one domestic terminal, and one private aviation terminal. Pobeda LCC () is an ultra low-cost airline and a wholly owned subsidiary of Aeroflot, the flag carrier and largest airline of Russia. It operates scheduled services to domestic and international destinations mainly from its airline hub of Vnukovo International Airport. Its head office is in Moscow. The Tupolev Tu-104 (NATO reporting name: Camel) is a medium-range, narrow-body, twin turbojet-powered Soviet airliner. It was the second to enter regular service, after the British de Havilland Comet and was the only jetliner operating in the world from 1956 to 1958, when the British jetliner was grounded due to safety concerns. Sheremetyevskaya Railway Station
Sheremetyevskaya () is a railway station of the Savyolovsky line of the Moscow Railway in the microdistrict Sheremetyevsky of the city of Dolgoprudny, Moscow Oblast. The station is part of the line D1 "Belorussko-Savelovsky" of the Moscow Central Diameters. History The station was opened in 1901 and named after the initiator of its opening, Count Sergey Sheremetev.
