Moscow Central Diameters (MCD) () is a system of off-street Commuter rail, passenger rail transport lines in the Moscow metropolitan area, Moscow agglomeration, created at the turn of the Moscow Railway, Moscow railway. In the media and Advertising campaign, ad campaigns, the project is also widely called a "ground metro" (City media call it the Moscow Metro), although by definition of characteristics and Infrastructure, technical equipment it is not one - the MCD has influence with the metro only by a Troika card, single fare payment system (but you can also buy a separate ticket). Moscow Railway
Moscow Railway () is a subsidiary of Russian Railways that handles half of Russia's suburban railway operations and a quarter of the country's passenger traffic. As of 2009 the railway, which has its headquarters near Komsomolskaya Square in Moscow, employed 73,600 people. Réseau Express Régional
The (; ), commonly abbreviated RER (), is a hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system serving Paris and its suburbs. It acts as a combined city-center underground rail system and suburbs-to-city-center commuter rail, similar to the Elizabeth line in London, S-Bahn in German-speaking countries and the S Lines in Milan. Conceived of as a ('express metro') during the mid-1930s, the scheme was revived in the 1950s and construction began in the early 1960s. Khimki (, ) is a city in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located approximately northwest from central Moscow, and is part of the Moscow metropolitan area. History Origins and formation Khimki was initially a railway station that had existed since 1850 on the Moscow – Saint Petersburg Railway.
