Mosaic Church
Mosaic is a multi-site megachurch based in Los Angeles, California, and is currently led by Erwin McManus. The church had been affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, but today, it describes itself as non-denominational. History Thirty-five charter members of Bethel Baptist Church began meeting on January 3, 1943, in a rented storefront in Los Angeles, California. Members brought their own chairs to the first service. By 1958, two more "missions" or services were established in Baldwin Park and Monterey Park. In 1969, at age 24, Thomas A. Wolf "Brother Tom" became the senior pastor of the then-named First Southern Baptist Church of East Los Angeles. The small number of people still attending were predominantly Caucasian/ Anglo and elderly in an area that was becoming more diverse with Hispanic, Armenian , and Asian families moving in as Caucasian/Anglo families moved to the suburbs. Non-denominational
A non-denominational person or organization is one that does not follow (or is not restricted to) any particular or specific religious denomination. Overview The term has been used in the context of various faiths including Jainism, Baháʼí Faith, Zoroastrianism, Unitarian Universalism, Neo-Paganism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Wicca. It stands in contrast with a religious denomination. Religious people of a non-denominational persuasion tend to be more open-minded in their views on various religious matters and rulings. TBN Inspire is an American Christian broadcast television network owned by the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). It is carried on the digital subchannels of TBN's stations. Mosaic MSC is a contemporary worship music band from Mosaic Church in Los Angeles, California. The band is led by Worship Pastor Mariah McManus. The band have released three live albums and three extended plays. History Mosaic MSC recorded its first worship album, ''MSC (Live from LA)'' on May 24, 2014 at the historic Wiltern Theater. After it was released in 2015, it peaked at number 21 on the Christian Albums chart. Mosaic MSC has several charting singles. The song "Nvr Stp" peaked at number 49 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs in 2015 and their song "Tremble" peaked at number 19 on the chart in March 2018. Rialto Theatre (South Pasadena, California)
The Rialto Theatre is a 1,200-seat theater in South Pasadena, California. Located on Fair Oaks Avenue, it is considered one of the last single-screen theaters in Southern California and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. History The Rialto was built in 1925 by Lewis A. Smith, who was also architect for the Vista Theater on Sunset Boulevard. The Rialto's architectural style was described in The Los Angeles Times as "an odd mashup of Spanish Baroque and Egyptian kitsch." The theater has an orchestra pit and its original design featured balcony seating along both sides of a deep stage. The interior has several original murals and a drinking fountain made of Batchelder tile. The Rialto was operated by Landmark Theatres until it closed in 2007. La Brea Avenue is a prominent north-south thoroughfare in the City of Los Angeles and in Los Angeles County, California. Hollywood Boulevard is a major east–west street in Los Angeles, California. It begins in the east at Sunset Boulevard in the Los Feliz district and proceeds to the west as a major thoroughfare through Little Armenia and Thai Town, Hollywood.
