Mory Koné (born 21 April 1994) is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Vierzon FC. Koné is of Ivorian descent and has represented both his birth and ancestral nation at international level. He has represented France at under-17 and under-18 level, while he represented Ivory Coast at the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Club career Le Mans Koné was born in Paris. Mory's, known also as Mory's Temple Bar, is a private club adjacent to the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, United States, founded in 1849 and housed in a clubhouse that was originally a private home built sometime before 1817. Originally it was a restaurant, especially hospitable to Yale undergraduates (it extended them credit), located at the corner of Temple and Center Streets, but in 1912, when the building was to be demolished, the owner and proprietor (since 1898), Louis Linder, sold it to a group of Yale alumni who moved the bar to 306 York Street and turned it into a membership club. Philippe Mory was a Gabonese actor and director, born in 1935 and died on 7 June 2016 in Libreville, Gabon. He is known for acting in the film '' The Cage'', ''One Does Not Bury Sunday (1960)'' and directing ''Les tam-tams se sont tus (1972).'' Career Philippe Mory began his film career in the mid-1950s with his role in the short film ''Afrique-sur-Seine'' directed by Paulin Soumanou Vieyra. He is the principal interpreter of Michel Drach's feature film ''Do not Bury Sunday'', which won the Louis-Delluc Prize in 1959. He returned to Gabon, where he was the scriptwriter and one of the actors of '' The Cage'' directed by Robert Darène. Ján Móry (or Johann Mory) (10 July 1892 – 5 May 1978) was a Slovak composer and pedagogue also known under pseudonym H. Tschirmer. Life Móry was born in Banská Bystrica (Besztercebánya). From 1902 to 1910 he studied at gymnasium in Banská Bystrica, in the years 1910 - 1912, he studied at the University of Trading in Budapest. He studied piano with Scheinberger in Banská Bystrica, composition with Dobó in Budapest and from 1921 to 1925 with Herman Büchel in Berlin. Until 1921, he led the family business in Banská Bystrica which he sold to his siblings Klimos. The longest post he had was as an owner of the hotel in Štrbské Pleso. From 1947 to 1960, he was a director of Musical school in Spišská Nová Ves and finally he lived in Bratislava, where he died. Félix Mory (born 20 March 1995) is a French professional golfer who plays on the Challenge Tour. He won the 2021 Dormy Open in Sweden. Amateur career Mory spent two seasons at Santa Barbara City College where he finished second at the Southern California Championship. He earned first team All-Western State Conference honors after finishing third in the conference, and was named Santa Barbara Athlete of the Year. Eric Mory (born 17 April 1879) was a Swiss footballer who played as striker or midfielder during the 1890s and early 1900s. Football career FC Basel was founded on 15 November 1893 and Mory joined the club about three years later, during their 1896–97 season. Mory played his first game for the club in the away game on 8 November 1896 as Basel were defeated 1–2 by Grasshopper Club. Mory stayed with the club for two seasons. During the first season he played in six of the team's seven matches and in the second he played in nine out of ten matches. The last game that Mory played for Basel was on 8 May 1898 as Basel won 2–0 against FC Fortuna Zürich. His teammate John Tollmann acted as referee in that match. Carmen Castro Mory (2 July 1906 – 9 April 1947) was a Swiss Nazi German spy and kapo in the Ravensbrück concentration camp. She was sentenced to death in the Hamburg Ravensbrück trials in 1947. Early life and career Carmen Castro Mory was born 2 July 1906 in Bern, Switzerland to Dr. Ernest Emil Mory, a physician in charge of the sanatorium in Switzerland and Leona Castro of Iloilo, Philippines. Before the war, she worked as a journalist, including for the ''Manchester Guardian'' (now ''The Guardian''). From 1932 to 1937 she worked as a journalist in Berlin, where in 1934 she became an undercover agent for the Gestapo, working under Bruno Sattler. Mory Sinkoun Kaba (1933 – 2015), known as Kaba Mory or MS, was a Guinean businessman and philanthropist. Close to president Sékou Touré, he realised numerous state projects on his behalf. Kaba was the eldest son of Abdourahmane Sinkoun Kaba (1904 – 1972), a prominent figure in the Guinean revolution, who was known as ("Sinkoun Kaba the Elder"). Under colonial rule, he became the first Guinean administrator, and district commander. After Guinean independence, he became the first Secretary-General of the Republic of Guinea, and then Home Secretary. Mory Sacko (born 1991 or 1992) is a French chef. Biography Mory Sacko is from Senegalese and Malian descent. He earned a Michelin star with his first restaurant, MoSuke. Sacko opened the 35-seat restaurant in Paris in September 2020 with a mix of French, West African, and Japanese cuisine. Dishes include beef filet cured in shea butter with mafé (peanuts), and " Breton lobster with tomato miso, lacto-fermented chilies, and charred watermelon".
