Morton Kaish
Morton Kaish (born 1927) is an American artist whose work integrates the abstract and the figurative. Kaish's paintings and prints have been exhibited by and included in the collections of major national and international museums: the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the British Museum, among others. In addition to his accomplishments as an artist, Kaish has had a successful career as a fashion illustrator. Biography Kaish's father immigrated from Romania to the U.S. and served in World War I, where he fought and was wounded in the Meuse–Argonne offensive before marrying and starting a family. Kaish was born in Newark, New Jersey, grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey and attended Columbia High School. Will Barnet (May 25, 1911November 13, 2012) was an American artist known for his paintings, watercolors, drawings, and prints depicting the human figure and animals, both in casual scenes of daily life and in transcendent dreamlike worlds. Biography Born in 1911 in Beverly, Massachusetts, Barnet knew by the age of ten that he wanted to be an artist. Jane Wilson
Jane Wilson (April 29, 1924 – January 13, 2015) was an American painter associated with both landscape painting and expressionism. She lived and worked in New York City and Water Mill, New York. Early influences Wilson was born in Seymour, Iowa, and grew up on a farm there during the Great Depression. Dimitri Hadzi
Dimitri Hadzi (March 21, 1921 – April 16, 2006) was an American abstract sculptor who lived and worked in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and also taught at Harvard University for over a decade. Life Hadzi was born to Greek-American immigrant parents in Greenwich Village, New York City on March 21, 1921. As a child, he attended a Greek after-school program, where he learned language, mythology, history, and theater. He also won a prize for drawing.
