''Mortadelo'' is a Spanish comic magazine published from 1970 to 1991 first by Editorial Bruguera and subsequently by Ediciones B. The magazine is named after the popular '' Mort & Phil'' comic series created by Francisco Ibáñez.Cristóbal Martínez. (April 1971). ''Una nueva publicación Bruguera: Mortadelo'' ''Bang!'' 5, p. 60. History ''Mortadelo'' endured three major historical stages under the direction of Vicente Palomares, Jordi Bayona, and Armando Matías Guiu. 1970–1983 The first issue of ''Mortadelo'' was released on 23 November 1970 and was given out free of charge by the magazine ''Tío Vivo''. Subsequent issues cost 6 pesetas. The earliest issues feature the work series of Ibánez, Vázquez, and Escobar in addition to others such as ''El Corsario de Hierro''. Ediciones B is headquartered in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain; with branches throughout Latin America. ''Anacleto, agente secreto'' (Anacleto, Secret Agent) is a Spanish comic character created by cartoonist Manuel Vázquez Gallego in 1964, protagonist of the series of the same name. Las hermanas Gilda (Gilda sisters) are Spanish comic characters of the series of the same name created by Manuel Vázquez Gallego in 1949. The protagonists are the sisters Hermenegilda and Leovigilda, who live together. Pafman
Pafman is a Spanish comic character created by cartoonist Joaquín Cera in 1987, protagonist of the series of the same name. The main characters of the strip are Pafman, a bungling superhero and his sidekick Pafcat, an anthropomorphic cat and inventor. Both of them cause many disasters while fighting supervillains. Characteristics Pafman is a clumsy, bungling superhero who is determined to fight evil, even though people probably would be better off without him. The name of the series is an obvious pun with Batman but the two characters have very little in common. The mood of the comic is based on non stopping jokes and for this the author use surreal situations, slapstick, puns, breaking the fourth wall and parodies. There are also influences from manga. ''13, Rue del Percebe'' (13, Barnacle Street) is a Spanish comic book created by Francisco Ibáñez that debuted in the pages of ''Tío Vivo'' magazine on March 6, 1961, and quickly became highly popular. The last strip was published in 1984. ''13, Rue del Percebe'' is a single panel that takes up the whole page that represents a humorous view of a building and the people who inhabit it. Each apartment is a panel in itself, with fixed characters with defined personalities. Usually each panel is not related to the others and can be read in any order, but sometimes an event affects more than one neighbor, and read in order the comic effect is more pronounced. The inhabitants The flat roof is inhabited by a debtor that is always imagining ingenious ways to evade his creditors, and by a poor black cat that is always been tortured by a cruelly ingenious mouse.
