Morrison is a city in Gasconade County, Missouri, United States. The first permanent settlement in the town was made by Robert Shobe circa 1828. The population was 93 at the 2020 census. History A post office called Morrison has been in operation since 1860. The community has the name of Alfred William Morrison, a legislator who is believed to have once lived in the area. Morrison is a city in Grundy County, Iowa, United States. The population was 98 at the time of the 2020 census. It is part of the Waterloo– Cedar Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. In the 2019 city election, the city of Morrison reelected David Hach as Mayor to his third term. Hach remained Mayor of Morrison as of November 2023. He has brought significant reforms to the city, including paving roads, flood water mitigation and leading through reconstruction following a devastating derecho in 2020 which caused damage to numerous homes and trees throughout the community. This page describes residential halls, colleges and residences at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Residential halls St. John's College The university's first hall of residence, St. John's Hall, was built by the Church Missionary Society in late 1912. It has been a tradition of the hall to hold High Table Dinner every week since its introduction in 1916. This custom was subsequently taken up by other halls. St. John's Hall housed male students until the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong. The original site is now occupied by St. Paul's College. A post-War inspection on August 31, 1945, found the hall totally ruined with only four of its walls remaining. Combined with St. Stephen's Hall, the new St. John's College was built in 1955 in 82 Pokfulam Road to replace the former hall. USS ''Morrison'' (DD-560), a , was a ship of the United States Navy, named for Coxswain John G. Morrison (1838–1897), who received the Medal of Honor for exceptional bravery during the Civil War.
