The morna (pronunciation in both Portuguese language, Portuguese and Cape Verdean Creole: ) is a Music genre, music and dance genre from Cape Verde. It was proclaimed Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO on December 11, 2019. Lyrics are usually in Cape Verdean Creole, and instrumentation often includes cavaquinho, clarinet, accordion, violin, piano and guitar. ''Morna'' is a genus of stink bugs found in Australia. It consists of the sole species ''Morna florens'', making it a monotypic taxon. Description According to the original description (under the synonym ''Cuspicona florens''): This species is testaceous (dull brick-red) in colour, elongate-oval in shape and has a roughly punctured surface. The head is smooth, elongate and transversely striated. It has two red stripes posteriorly and the clypeus (=middle lobe) barely extends beyond the mandibular plates (=lateral lobes). The rostrum extends to the point of the hind coxae and has a black tip. Morna Dorothy Hooker (born 19 May 1931) is a British theologian and New Testament scholar. Early life and education Morna Hooker was born in Beddington on 19 May 1931. She went to Bristol University where she graduated with first class honours in theology, and then earned her MA. She worked for a PhD degree at the University of Manchester, then at the University of Durham. Career and research She became a Research Fellow in Arts at Durham. In 1961 she was elected into a temporary, then permanent lectureship at King's College London. In 1970, she left for a lectureship in Theology at University of Oxford, with a fellowship at Linacre College, Oxford. Morna Stuart (19051972) was a writer of several plays and books. Her best-known work today is ''Marassa and Midnight'', a young-adult novel that tells the story of twin boys from Haiti separated during the French Revolution. During her lifetime, however, she received the most publicity for her play ''Traitor's Gate'', a work on the life of Thomas More. Biography Information on Stuart's life is sparse.
