Hallescher FC
Hallescher FC, sometimes still called by its former popular name Chemie Halle, is a German association football club based in Halle an der Saale, Saxony-Anhalt. The club currently plays in the 3. Liga, the third highest level in the German football league system. For many years, Halle had been in East Germany's highest league, the DDR-Oberliga, up-until the German reunification. However, like many other teams from the former East, it then suffered the effects of economic and demographic decline in the region in the 1990s and fell down to amateur leagues. Serkan Göcer (born 26 June 1993) is a German footballer who plays for Fortuna Köln in the Regionalliga Südwest. Career After playing as a youth for his hometown club, TuS Koblenz, Göcer signed for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in 2011 and made his 3. Liga debut in the second match of the 2011–12 season, replacing Timo Kunert in a 0–0 draw with 1. FC Saarbrücken. After Oberhausen were relegated at the end of the season, he signed for Saarbrücken. FK Pirmasens is a German association football club in Pirmasens, Rhineland-Palatinate. The team was formed as the football section of the gymnastics and sports club TV Pirminia Pirmasens in 1903 and became independent in 1914. They took on their current name in 1925. FK is one of the few teams that uses the German Klub in their name as opposed to the commonly affected English-style term Club.
