Morgan Lewis Smith (March 8, 1822 – December 29, 1874) was a Union brigadier general in the American Civil War Biography Smith was born in Oswego County, New York. In 1843 he settled in Indiana, and later had some military experience in the United States Army. At the outbreak of the Civil War he raised the 8th Missouri Volunteer Infantry, of which he was elected Colonel in 1861. He commanded a brigade at the capture of Fort Donelson, and performed well at Shiloh. At these two battles his losses included only dead and wounded, none missing or captured. This was a testimony to Smith's leadership, considering other commands lost thousands to skulkers and prisoners during both battles. In mid-May Smith was transferred to command the 1st Brigade in William T. Sherman's division. Smith's brigade took an active part in the siege of Corinth being the lead brigade in the fight for Russell's House and the attack on the double log house. Morgan (February 16, 1910 – February 17, 1993) and Marvin Smith, (February 16, 1910 – 2003) were identical African-American twin brothers. They were photographers and artists known for documenting the life of Harlem in the 1930s to 1950s. Biography The brothers were born in Nicholasville, Kentucky to sharecroppers Charles and Allena Smith. The family moved to Lexington when Morgan and Marvin were 12 years old. They frequently helped their parents harvest crops and exercised their drawing skills from a young age by tracing pictures from Sears catalogs. While in high school, Morgan and Marvin developed their artistic skills using oil paints and soaps to create sculptures. ''Buzz'' was a 2000-2005 Canadian comedy television series that aired on The Comedy Network. The show was hosted by "Mista Mo" (Morgan Oliver Smith) and Daryn Jones. The show originally aired in the mid-90s as a community channel show on Rogers Television before getting a network deal in 1999. In 2001, the show won a Gemini Award in the "Best Writing in a Comedy or Variety Program or Series" category. The 2003 season saw them take the show to New York, London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. The show ended in 2005. Created in Toronto, the show found a place on the Comedy Network when '' The Tom Green Show'' left to MTV. The show uses sketch comedy, non-sequiturs and guerrilla comedy.
