More (Pulp Album)
''More'' is the eighth studio album by the English rock band Pulp, released on 6 June 2025 on Rough Trade Records. Produced by James Ford, it is the band's first studio album in twenty-four years following '' We Love Life'' (2001) and is their first album since '' Freaks'' (1987) without bass guitarist Steve Mackey, who died in 2023. Mackey is credited as a songwriter on two songs. The returning four core members of Pulp – vocalst Jarvis Cocker, keyboardist Candida Doyle, drummer Nick Banks and guitarist Mark Webber – were joined in the studio by touring members Andrew McKinney (bass guitar), Emma Smith (violin) and Adam Betts (various instruments), who had previously worked with Cocker on his solo project Jarv Is and its 2020 studio album, '' Beyond the Pale''. Pulp (band)
Pulp are a British rock band formed in Sheffield in 1978. At their critical and commercial peak, the band consisted of Jarvis Cocker (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Russell Senior (guitar, violin), Candida Doyle (keyboards), Nick Banks (drums, percussion), Steve Mackey (bass) and Mark Webber (guitar, keyboards). The band's " kitchen sink drama" lyrics, coupled with its references to British culture, led to Cocker and Pulp becoming reluctant figureheads of the Britpop movement. The band struggled to find success during the 1980s, but gained UK prominence in the mid-1990s first with '' His 'n' Hers'' (1994), which was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Kerlingarfjöll
Kerlingarfjöll () is a tall volcanic massive in Iceland situated in the Highlands of Iceland near the Kjölur highland road. It is usually regarded as part of a large tuya fissure system of in the southern portion of the Hofsjökull volcanic system, although is about in diameter itself, and is between 68 and 350 thousand years old predating some of the activity in the rest of the system. The volcanic origin of these mountains is evidenced by tholeiite basalt deposits, the numerous hot springs and rivulets in the area, as well as red volcanic rhyolite stone most marked near the two caldera. Minerals that have emerged from the hot springs also color the ground yellow, red and green. The area was known formerly for its summer ski resort, but this was dismantled in 2000. Metacritic is an American website that aggregates reviews of films, television shows, music albums, video games, and formerly books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average).
