Baron Moran
Baron Moran, of Manton in the County of Wiltshire, is a title in the peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 8 March 1943 for the physician Charles Wilson (10 November 1882 – 12 April 1977). He is chiefly remembered as Winston Churchill's personal physician during the Second World War and was president of the Royal College of Physicians from 1941 to 1949. His diary of his association with Churchill—that continued to Winston's death in 1965—was published in 1966. He was succeeded in 1977 by his eldest son, the second baron, a diplomat who notably served as British Ambassador to Hungary and Portugal and as British High Commissioner to Canada from 1981 to 1984. He was one of the 90 hereditary peers elected to remain in the House of Lords after the passing of the House of Lords Act 1999, where he sat as a crossbencher. Ben Moran House
Ben Moran House, is a historical residence in Mason County, Kentucky, which was built in 1818. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, as part of a study of early stone houses in Kentucky. () It is located on the north-east corner of the intersection of Kentucky Route 8 and 10, about west of Moranburg, a hamlet, in Mason County, named for the Moran family. With It is a one and a half storey three-bay dry-stone house about in plan, and is primarily Federal in style. It was in "good" condition in 1984. Its roof was replaced by a higher one in the 1880s either to make more space or to follow the then-current Gothic Revival fashion. Thomas Moran House
The Thomas and Mary Nimmo Moran House is a historic house museum at 229 Main Street in East Hampton, New York. Built in 1884, it was the home of Mary Nimmo Moran and Thomas Moran, both accomplished painters of the nineteenth century. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1965 for its association with Thomas Moran, the first major painter to bring scenes of the American West to the rest of the country. and   The house has been restored and opened to the public by reservation under the care of the East Hampton Historical Society. Moran Bay Patrol Cabin
The Moran Bay Patrol Cabin was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps about 1932. The log structure was located in the northern backcountry of Grand Teton National Park, and was built to a standard design for such structures, in the National Park Service Rustic style, but for the U.S. Forest Service, which administered much of the area prior to the expansion of the park in 1943. The Upper Granite Canyon Patrol Cabin is similar. The cabin was a day's hike from the Leigh Lake Ranger Patrol Cabin to the south and the Colter Canyon cabin to the north. Located in a remote portion of the park, the cabin was used for winter ranger patrols. The one story cabin was built on a stone foundation. The log walls were saddle-notched at the corners. The roof was sheathed with cedar shingles and had exposed log purlin structure on the interior, which is a single room.
