Mooloolah River
The Mooloolah River is a river in South East Queensland, Australia. The river rises from the eastern slopes of the Blackall Range and flows east-northeast, similar to the Maroochy River to the north. The mouth of the river is at southern Mooloolaba. The catchment area covers 221 km2. Addlington Creek, a tributary of the Mooloolah River was dammed by the Ewen Maddock Dam in 1973. Mountain Creek is another tributary that rises on the Buderim mountain that divides the Mooloolah and Maroochy watersheds. The gastric-brooding frog is a recently extinct frog that was discovered in only three catchments, the Mary River, Mooloolah River and Stanley Rivers. Although the Mooloolah River doesn't experience major flooding often, a flood warning system was established in 2004 to inform the Sunshine Coast Regional Council with river height predictions from network of rainfall and river height field stations. Mooloolah River National Park
The Mooloolah River National Park is a nationally protected area located on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. It covers an area of 830.9 hectares and is bordered by the Mooloolah River to the east, Claymore and Dixon Roads to the west, and the Lower Mooloolah River Environmental Reserve to the south. It is bisected by the Sunshine Motorway with the northern, 161.93 hectare component of the Park being a later addition. The Park was initially vacant crown land prior to national park designation in 1960. Surrounding land uses include livestock grazing, urban development and the campus of the University of the Sunshine Coast. Mary River (Queensland)
The Mary River (Gubbi Gubbi language, Gubbi Gubbi: Moocooboola) is a major river system in the South East Queensland, South East and Wide Bay–Burnett regions of Queensland, Australia. It is the six longest coastal river in the state and unique in that it flows south to north. It is home to three threatened species, the Mary River turtle, white-throated snapping turtle and the Mary River cod. The Mary River was to be dammed with the construction of the Traveston Crossing Dam until it was cancelled due to environmental reasons. Gubbi Gubbi People
Gubbi is a town in Tumakuru District, Karnataka, India. It is 20 km from Tumakuru and 90 km from Bengaluru along NH-206 (BH Road). Gubbi ULB (Urban Local Bodies) contains 17 wards and an equal number of councilors. The population of the Gubbi Town was 18,446 in 2011. The town has an area of 6.67 sq. km. Stanley River (Queensland)
The Stanley River is a perennial river in the South East region of Queensland, Australia. A major tributary of the Brisbane River, the Stanley River valley extends roughly westwards from the area south of Maleny, through Woodford to Kilcoy before veering southwards.
