Sara Del Campo
Sara del Campo Yávar (31 December 1855 in Santiago – 30 August 1942 in Santiago) was First Lady of Chile from 1906 to 1910, and the wife of President Pedro Montt. She was the daughter of Evaristo del Campo Madariaga and of Antonia Yávar Ruiz de Cabrera. She married Pedro Montt on January 3, 1881, but they had no descendants. History Of Chile
The territory of Chile has been populated since at least 3000 BC. By the 16th century, Spanish invaders began to raid the region of present-day Chile, and the territory was a colony from 1540 to 1818, when it gained Chilean War of Independence, independence from Spain. The country's economic development was successively marked by the export of first agricultural produce, then sodium nitrate, saltpeter and later copper. The wealth of raw materials led to an economic upturn, but also led to dependency, and even wars with neighboring states. Andrés Wood
Andrés Wood Montt (born 14 September 1965) is a Chilean film director, producer and writer. Some of his most popular films include '' Machuca'', '' Violeta se fue a los cielos'', and ''Historias de Futbol''. He created his own production company known as Wood Producciones in 1993. La Reina
La Reina (Spanish: "The Queen"; distorted from Larraín) is a commune of Chile located in Santiago Province, Santiago Metropolitan Region, created in 1963 from an eastern portion of the Ñuñoa commune. It belongs to the Northeastern zone of Santiago de Chile. La Reina is a residential commune inhabited by mostly mid- to upper-mid income families and high-income groups. Cristina Montt (May 10, 1895 – April 22, 1969) was a Chilean film star of silent and early sound films. Early life She was born in Chile in 1895 into the well-known, political Montt family. Her granduncle, Manuel Montt, was twice president of Chile. Two other uncles also served as presidents of the South American nation. She moved to Los Angeles and became friendly with the big names in the film industry of the time. She first appeared in motion pictures in the United States in 1924. She performed in about 10 films between 1924 and 1938. For the most part her roles were very small. On July 5, 1927, she announced her engagement to Mario Morano. Teresa Wilms Montt
María Teresa de las Mercedes Wilms Montt (8 September 1893 – 24 December 1921; pseudonyms Tebal and Teresa de la Cruz), also known as Thérèse Wilms Montt, was a Chilean writer, poet, and anarcha-feminist. Described as "embodying sexual aberrance and social prophesy", she was a friend of the writers Ramón Gómez de la Serna, Enrique Gómez Carrillo, Joaquín Edwards Bello, Víctor Domingo Silva, and Ramón Valle-Inclán. Biography A scion of the Montt family, she was born in Viña del Mar, Chile, to Luz Victoria Montt y Montt and Federico Guillermo Wilms y Brieba. Nicolasa Montt
Nicolasa Montt (, Nicolasa Montt Barros; after marriage, Nicolasa Montt de Marambio; Freirina, 1857–1924) was a Chilean poet who published in regional newspapers and books. She also translated from French works by well-known French writers.
