Montenegrin Music Festivals
Montenegrin music festivals are a series of music festivals which showcase the top Montenegro, Montenegrin and all Ex-Yugoslavian musical acts, in different types of music. They usually involve live performances as well as awards given by festival jurors and those awarded by the fans. The majority of the festivals release a compilation of the songs entered. Pop Festivals * MontenegroSong ** The winner of this festival is representing Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest. It's organised by RTCG and the first edition was in MontenegroSong 2007, 2007. While Montenegro was in the union with Serbia, the Montenegrin semifinal was called Montevizija. * Music Festival Budva ** It takes place in the town of Budva and usually takes place in June. Zdravko Čolić
Zdravko Čolić (, ; born 30 May 1951) is a Bosnian Serb singer and is widely considered one of the greatest vocalists and cultural icons of the former Yugoslavia. Goran Bregović
Goran Bregović (born 22 March 1950) is a recording artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is one of the most internationally known modern musicians and composers of the Slavic-speaking countries in the Balkans, and is one of the few former Yugoslav musicians who has performed at major international venues such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall and L'Olympia. Ex-Yu
The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, commonly referred to as SFR Yugoslavia or simply as Yugoslavia, was a country in Central and Southeast Europe. Jaz Beach
Jaz ( sr-Cyrl, Јаз, ) is a beach in the Budva Municipality in Montenegro. It is located 2.5 km west of Budva. It consists of two parts, one 850 m long and the other, formerly a nudist beach, 450 m long. It is a pebble beach, with a campground along the greater part of the beach (capacity 2,000 lots). While it is among the longer beaches in Montenegro, and is a popular beach for sunbathing and camping, it has gained international prominence as a host of numerous concerts and happenings in recent years. Bijela, Montenegro
Bijela (Serbian Cyrillic: Бијела, ) is a coastal town in the municipality of Herceg Novi, Montenegro. It is also located north of Herceg Novi, by the Verige strait in the Bay of Kotor. The chronicler Andrija Zmajević claimed that the 16th-century Pope Sixtus V descended from a family originating in the area of Bijela.
