Monte Carlo (radio Programme)
''Monte Carlo'' was a Danish radio programme that was broadcast on the national Danish Radio (DR) channel DR P3. It was hosted by two radio personalities; Esben Bjerre Hansen and Peter Falktoft. The programme was originally broadcast between 9.00 and 12.00 AM each Sunday, which was later changed when airtime was moved to 2-4 PM on all working days. The programme contained different features ranging from quizzes to satirical inputs, including (translated) "The Quotation Index", "The Per Wimmer Quiz", "The Mystical Mr. Mox Quiz" and "Heard over the hedge" (#hørtoverhækken). The radio personalities often made fun of a select group of Danish celebrities and politicians, most noticeably the Danish producer, composer and songwriter Remee, the Danish professional road bicycle racer Rolf Sørensen and the Danish politician Simon Emil Ammitzbøl. Danish Radio
DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1925 as a public-service organization, it is Denmark's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise. DR shares many of its organisational characteristics with its British counterpart, the BBC, on which it was largely modelled. DR is a founding member of the European Broadcasting Union. DR P3 (referred to in Denmark simply as P3) is a Danish current-based hit music radio station operated by the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. It is broadcast on FM radio, DAB, and Internet radio. Esben Bjerre Hansen
Esben Bjerre Hansen (born 8 February 1987 in Sejs, Silkeborg) is a Danish radio and television host, best known for his job as radio host in the popular radio programme Monte Carlo at DR P3 along with his co-host Peter Falktoft. He went to the Danish School of Media and Journalism in Aarhus until 2013. Remee Sigvardt Jackman (né Mikkel Johan Imer Sigvardt; born 8 November 1974), better known as Remee, is a Danish rapper, songwriter, producer and composer. Career Remee has written more than 60 hits and has sold over 25 million records. He has co-written several songs with Thomas Troelsen. Early music career Remee was a rapper in the pop group Sound of Seduction and in Thomas Blachman's jazz and hip-hop project in the early and mid-1990s. In 1998, Remee broke through as a producer/songwriter for the pop duo S.O.A.P, with the debut album '' Not Like Other Girls''. Rolf Sørensen
Rolf Sørensen (born 20 April 1965) is a former Danish professional road bicycle racer. He is currently working as a cycling commentator and agent. Born in Helsinge in Denmark, Sørensen moved to Italy at the age of 17, where he has lived since. He goes under the name ''Il Biondo'' due to his blonde hair. Nikolaj Koppel
Nikolaj Koppel (born 6 March 1969) is a Danish musician, journalist and radio presenter. Life and career Koppel was born to opera singer Lone Koppel and pianist John Winther. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and went on to become a concert pianist in 1998, but retired from the business after just two years. He later took up work as a music journalist on Danmarks Radio, he also served as editor for the magazine ''Euroman''. Johan Philip "Pilou" Asbæk (; born 2 March 1982) is a Danish actor, best known for his role as troubled spin doctor Kasper Juul in the Danish television political drama '' Borgen'', and as Euron Greyjoy in the television series ''Game of Thrones''.
