Jessica Alyssa Cerro (born 14 August 1995), better known as Montaigne, is an Australian musician, singer, and Twitch streamer. Their debut album, '' Glorious Heights'', was released in August 2016 and peaked at No. 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2016, they won Breakthrough Artist – Release for the album and received nominations in three other categories. In April 2016, they were a featured vocalist on Hilltop Hoods' track " 1955" and " A Whole Day's Night, which reached No. 2 on the ARIA Singles Chart. They were supposed to represent Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song " Don't Break Me" until the contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Australia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "Technicolour", written by Montaigne and Dave Hammer, and performed by Montaigne. The Australian participating broadcaster, Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), internally selected its entry for the contest. "Chandelier" is a song by Australian singer and songwriter Sia, from her sixth studio album, ''1000 Forms of Fear'' (2014). Like A Version
''Like a Version'' is a long-running weekly segment on Australian youth radio station Triple J. It involves musicians playing two songs live in the Triple J studio, one of their own songs and then a cover version. The series was created by presenter Mel Bampton in 2004 as part of the ''Mel in the Morning'' program. The title is wordplay on the song " Like a Virgin" by Madonna. Early performances were more intimate, with most covers in the first years featuring only acoustic instruments, but as the segment has evolved, recordings have moved into larger studios to accommodate full bands. The segment has grown in popularity over the years, leading to the release of compilation CDs featuring the covers. Andy Bull
Andy Bull is an Australian alt-pop singer-songwriter and producer, based in Sydney. He is best known for his singles "Dog", "Keep on Running" and "Baby I Am Nobody Now"; as well as his prolific Australian touring. The Preatures
The Preatures are an Australian indie rock band from Sydney, New South Wales, who formed in 2010 and disbanded in 2021. The band consisted of lead vocalist and keyboardist Isabella Manfredi, Isabella "Izzi" Manfredi, guitarist and vocalist Jack Moffitt (musician), Jack Moffitt, bassist Thomas Champion, and drummer Luke Davison. Triple J is an Australian government-funded national radio station founded in 1975 as a division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). It aims to appeal to young listeners of alternative music, and plays far more Australian content than commercial networks. National Soccer League
The National Soccer League (NSL) was the top-level soccer league in Australia, run by Soccer Australia and later the Australian Soccer Association.
