Monolithic Baby!
''Monolithic Baby!'' is the sixth studio album by American rock band Monster Magnet, released in 2004. It is a follow-up to 2000's ''God Says No''. It would also be the first album featuring bassist Jim Baglino. Bob Pantella was hired to fill the band's drum position after the album's recording; the drums on the album were performed by Michael Wildwood. The album features three cover songs – "There's No Way Out of Here" by Ken Baker. The song was originally recorded by Baker's English country rock band Unicorn released in 1976 on their album ''Too Many Crooks'' (US title ''Unicorn 2''). David Gilmour also recorded a version on his solo debut album. "The Right Stuff" by Robert Calvert is from his 1974 concept album, ''Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters'', and Velvet Underground's "Venus in Furs", the latter being available on the US edition of the album only. Monster Magnet
Monster Magnet is an American rock band. Hailing from Red Bank, New Jersey, the group was founded in 1989 by Dave Wyndorf (vocals and guitar), John McBain (guitar) and Tim Cronin (vocals and drums); they have since gone through several lineup changes, leaving Wyndorf as the only constant member. Monster Magnet has released ten studio albums to date, and they are best known for their 1990s hits "Negasonic Teenage Warhead" and " Space Lord". The band has also been credited for developing and popularizing the stoner rock genre, along with Masters of Reality, Kyuss, Fu Manchu and Sleep. Ö3 Austria Top 40 is the official Austrian singles chart, as well as the radio show which presents it, aired Tuesdays on Hitradio Ö3. Ed Mundell
Edward Mundell is an American rock guitarist known for his space rock 1970's inspired sound. From 1992 to 2010, he was the lead guitarist for stoner rock band Monster Magnet, contributing to eight albums in total. As of 2022, Mundell actively contributes to various recordings and soundtracks as a studio musician based in Los Angeles. Career Mundell is a self-taught guitar player who grew up in New Jersey. He joined Monster Magnet as lead guitarist in 1992. His first recorded appearance with the band was 1993's ''Superjudge'' album. In the span of 18 years, he played on eight Monster Magnet albums in total between 1992 and 2010. Mundell founded New Jersey stoner band The Atomic Bitchwax as a side project in order to keep playing in between Monster Magnet touring. ''Dopes to Infinity'' is the third album by American rock band Monster Magnet. It was released on March 21, 1995. Overview The song "Negasonic Teenage Warhead" became the band's first hit single, after having appeared the previous year in different form in the American movie ''S.F.W.''. Other tracks, such as the title track and "Dead Christmas" however, received little or no airplay, resulting in sales of the album being only slightly better than their previous album, ''Superjudge''. The album did reach #51 on the UK Charts and #30 in the German Charts. A music video was made for the song "Negasonic Teenage Warhead," directed by Gore Verbinski.
