Monir Hossain Manu
Monir Hossain (; 13 July 1959 – 20 April 2018), known by his nickname Manu, was a Bangladeshi former Association football, footballer who played as a Winger (association football), winger. He was commonly regarded as the ''"Panther of Dhaka football"''. Early life Manu was born on 13 July 1959 in Arambagh, Dhaka. Both of his parents died before the Bangladesh Liberation War, 1971 Liberation War, as Manu, the youngest among five brothers, spent his childhood working in local restaurants, unable to afford an education. Bangladesh Medical University (BMU; formerly known as Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, commonly known as PG Hospital) is a graduate medical university in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The 1985 Quaid-e-Azam International Tournament was the third edition of the Quaid-e-Azam International Tournament. The event was held at the Qayyum Stadium in Peshawar, Pakistan. Elias Hossain (footballer)
Elias Hossain is a retired Bangladeshi footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He played for the Bangladesh national team from 1983 to 1989. He also captained the national team during the 1989 South Asian Games. Elias is also the only player from Gopalganj to play for the Bangladesh national team. He is currently working as an executive director for the Bangladesh Football Federation. Bhaskar Ganguly is a former Indian football goalkeeper from West Bengal. He was the captain of India national football team which participated in the 1982 Asian Games held in New Delhi. Golam Sarwar Tipu (; born 22 October 1945), is a former Bangladeshi football player and manager. He is one of the few East Pakistani footballers to represent the Pakistan national football team. Club career While studying in Tejgaon school, Tipu was introduced to neighbourhood club Tejgaon Friends Union, which he joined in 1963, after completing his Matriculation examination the previous year.
