Dimitri Kirsanoff (russian: Димитрий Кирсанов, né Markus David Sussmanovitch Kaplan, Маркус Давид Зусманович Каплан; 6 March 1899 – 11 February 1957) was an early film-maker working in France, sometimes considered part of the French Impressionist movement in film. The film was an adaptation of the play '' Miquette et sa mere'' by Robert de Flers and Gaston Arman de Caillavet, which had previously been adapted into 1934 and 1940 films.
