Monica Ritterband
Monica Ritterband (born 26 August 1955) is a Danish artist, who previously worked as a journalist and speaker. Ritterband is the daughter of two Holocaust survivors; artist Olly Ritterband and Daniel Ritterband, who were originally from Transylvania, Romania. Ritterband graduated from the Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium and was later trained as a journalist at the Danish School of Journalism. She worked as a journalist for '' Ekstra Bladet'' and '' Weekendavisen'' and was a presenter at the DR's TV news for several years. In 1990, she became CEO of Carlsberg Group. Since 1997, she has devoted herself to her art full-time. Holocaust
The Holocaust, also known as the Shoah, was the genocide of European Jews during World War II. Between 1941 and 1945, Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically murdered some six million Jews across German-occupied Europe; around two-thirds of Europe's Jewish population. Poul Nyrup Rasmussen
Poul Oluf Nyrup Rasmussen (, informally Poul Nyrup, born 15 June 1943) is a retired Danish politician. Rasmussen was Prime Minister of Denmark from 25 January 1993 to 27 November 2001 and President of the Party of European Socialists (PES) from 2004 to 2011. He was the leader of the governing Social Democrats from 1992 to 2002. He was a member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2009. Rasmussen is a member of the Club of Madrid. In 2007 he published the book ''I grådighedens tid'' (''In a Time of Greed''), which contains harsh criticism of the role hedge and venture capital funds play in the global economy. ''Weekendavisen'' (meaning ''The Weekend Newspaper'' in English) is a Danish language, Danish weekly broadsheet newspaper published on Fridays in Denmark. Its circulation (as of 2007) is approximately 60,000 copies, about ten per cent of which cover subscriptions outside Denmark. According to opinion polls, however, the actual number of readers is much higher (290,000 in 2007). The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is an international document adopted by the United Nations General Assembly that enshrines the rights and freedoms of all human beings. Drafted by a UN committee chaired by Eleanor Roosevelt, it was accepted by the General Assembly as Resolution 217 during its third session on 10 December 1948 at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris, France. Ghita Nørby (born 11 January 1935) is a Danish actress with 117 film credits to her name from 1956 to 2005, making her one of the most active Danish actresses ever.
